Meet Geovanna Burgess White

We recently connected with Geovanna Burgess White and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Geovanna, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
It took me a long time to find my purpose, close to 20 years to be exact. We are taught at a young age by our upbringing and society how we should identify, what we should do and in what order. It wasn’t till early to mid 30’s, I started to listen to the voice in my head and reacting to the feeling in my soul.
I know it sounds crazy, but the emotions and thoughts I was feeling after doing all the things in the order and having my beautiful family, living in my dream house, making great money but still not happy and why? Because I wasn’t doing what I was meant t do with my life. I was living a life of default, not a life I designed.
I decided to hire a coach and start dreaming of what it was I actually liked to do, while staring a new business as an entrepreneur. What I didn’t know was that I was going to have a series of life, work and relationship changes, through a pandemic.

I started a business, launched a podcast, supported my community, wrote an ebook, and left the business I had built to pursue my true purpose. I started a coaching business guiding other women in living a life they cocreated and never looked back!

What is Purpose?
Let’s start with it definition.
Purpose:
Something set up as an object or end to be attained : INTENTION, RESOLUTION, DETERMINATION

This is the number one question asked when we meet with the women in our communities and our clients.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
In 2019 I got certified to become a mindset coach. YGC Relationship Coaching was created in 2020 and we have helped other women find their purpose, build strong relationships with themselves and the people around them. We have served over 100+ women in our coaching business.

Connecting, Networking and serving the Cypress Community is what I love to do.
These are the communities of women I serve.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Creating a daily life-work balance routine that works for me has changed the way I do business and as an entrepreneur. Letting go of compare syndrome and allowing myself to test and try what I believe is best for my clients and community.
Most importantly, not doing it alone. Asking for help, hiring a coach, surrounding myself with like minded women and giving myself grace.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Creating boundaries for myself and the most important relationships in my life. Letting go of what no longer serves me. I have realized how valuable our time is and how important it is to have calendar integrity.
I have changed my perspective and have started to enjoy my relationship with time.
