We recently connected with Gigi Gonzalez and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Gigi, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

When I was younger, my confidence shined in every room I walked into. I’ve always been bright & bubbly. As most would agree though, time wears on it as you grow older, change many times, and have to rediscover it over again. In middle school & high school I was bullied severely and my self esteem and confidence was shot for a long time. It was after High School I decided I wasn’t going to care what anyone thought of me and if I did I was going to “fake it til I make it”. That worked out quite well for me. Overtime I began to truly not care what others thought of me which was a huge base in the diminishing of my confidence. Through this I discovered a new found confidence and self worth because the only person I was looking to impress was myself and I loved it. A lot of girls ask me about casting or runway walk advice and I always tell them this: “Look confident and you’ll never look stupid” and I think not only in modeling but in life, that paved the way back to the confident, bright, and bubbly I once was.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’ve been modeling for 6 years and a lifestyle creator for 2 years. I am so grateful for all the opportunities, experiences, and connections I’ve made in the modeling and social media space over the years. I’ve always had a passion for content creation as well as event planning which is why I decided to start Plush Influencers & Co. with my partner and friend, Tatianna Brooks. Plush is an Exclusive Influencer Event Agency specialized in curating events that bring together local businesses, brands, and influencers together in a fun space to maximize influencer marketing in a way that’s mutually beneficial for all parties involved. Our first event and launch party takes place on September 20th, 2024 in Orlando, FL as both of us are from Orlando so it only felt right to begin where are roots are. We already are in the works for events in New York City, Miami, and Houston before the end of the year and will continue to go to cities nationwide curating events and creator experiences.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

To start would be that first impressions are everything. It doesn’t hurt you to be the kindest person in the room. I feel like these days its become normalized to not be a nice person and I can’t tell you how many major booking, opportunities, and connections I’ve made simply because I met someone and was nice. Secondly, adopt an optimistic mindset. It’s the one thing that will keep you afloat when nothing else is going your way. I believe manifestation is very real. What you put in, you will get out. Lastly, being honest is always your best policy. People are much more understanding then we usually give them credit for. Most people like a real person over a ‘perfect’ person. My best advice to implementing these into your life is to just strive to be 1% better everyday. If you can strive to be nicer, more optimistic, more honest 1% more everyday see how much your life changes in a year. My friends & Family always call me lucky and I do feel lucky but a lot of it is because I strived for the 1% better everyday and it continues to pay off.

We will always be looking for partners and collaboration opportunities! Plush wouldn’t be possible without them. We are looking for small business owners, local businesses, brands, restaurants, hotels, venues, and more to partner / collaborate with to curate our events! As a business just beginning we are open and flexible to all partnerships / collaborations as we known the importance of influencer marketing for businesses. It can be hard to always reach influencers or receive the quality influencer marketing you’re looking for which is why Plush bridges that gap in a fun event that is mutually beneficial to all parties.
