Meet Gigi St. Hilaire

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Gigi St. Hilaire. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Gigi , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

From an early age, I sensed that my life carried a purpose beyond what I could fully understand. Even as a teenager, I knew I was created for more than mere existence. Yet knowing there is a greater purpose to your life and knowing how to walk it out are two very different things. For years, I pursued dreams, ambitions, and opportunities, believing I could forge my own path to fulfillment.

That illusion shattered when I found myself battling breast cancer, fighting for my life during a season where control was no longer an option. I was placed in a posture of surrender. In that place of complete dependence, I encountered the undeniable truth: I did not create myself. Therefore, I could not create my own purpose.

An invention cannot define itself. It must be understood through the mind of its inventor. In the same way, I realized that discovering my purpose required returning to my Creator. If I wanted to know the true assignment of my life, I had to go back to the One who formed me, the Author of every breath I take.

Purpose is not something we fabricate through ambition or success. It is revealed through surrender. As I laid down my own plans and tuned my ear to God’s instructions for my life, clarity emerged. Purpose was no longer about personal fulfillment, but about stewarding the life, gifts, and influence entrusted to me for a higher calling.

The more I yielded my own agenda, the more the path became unmistakable. True purpose is not about self-promotion; it is about fulfilling a calling that impacts others beyond yourself.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am the Founder of RepurposeHER Kingdom Building Network, a faith-centered community dedicated to helping women discover healing, purpose, and wholeness through Christ. Our mission is to guide women through the process of transformation by helping them renew their mindsets, steward their God-given gifts, and walk boldly into their purpose.

RepurposeHER was birthed from a season of overcoming traumatic life experiences and surviving breast cancer. I realized that true healing required more than physical survival. It required a complete renewal of my mind, body, and spirit. I needed to change the way I viewed myself, allowing God to transform me from a place of brokenness into a life of wholeness. I created RepurposeHER to be a space where women could experience that same transformation and be equipped, encouraged, and empowered to walk fully in who God created them to be.

What excites me most about RepurposeHER is witnessing lives being repurposed by the power of faith and community. It is not just about inspiration. It is about activation. We help women not only discover their purpose but live it out with confidence and clarity.

Currently, we are expanding our reach through several initiatives within the RepurposeHER community and network. These include the RepurposedLife Digital Magazine, the RepurposeUS Podcast, RepurposeHIM for men, our conferences, networking events, retreats, and our newest event, the Kingdom Crowned and Chic Women’s Brunch. The brunch is designed to foster faith-based networking, empowerment, and kingdom-minded leadership among women. This event will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025, in Plano, Texas. Tickets can be purchased through our website or Eventbrite. We are also preparing for our upcoming women’s conference this fall, designed to equip women with spiritual, emotional, and practical tools to walk in wholeness and purpose. In addition, we are growing our network of faith-based coaches and community leaders to multiply our impact in both local and national communities.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, three qualities and areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey were resilience, discernment, and the ability to understand human behavior. Each of these was not simply developed through experiences but was refined through intentional growth and a deep reliance on God’s leading.

First, resilience was critical. Life’s challenges demanded that I learn how to recover, rebuild, and persevere without losing faith. Resilience was not something I inherited; it was something forged through adversity and surrender.

Second, discernment became essential. Learning how to distinguish my desires from God’s desires for my life required spiritual maturity and intentional growth. Discernment is the ability to make sound decisions, rooted in truth rather than emotion or pressure. It has been foundational in my leadership, my personal healing, and in guiding others.

Third, my academic background in psychology played a significant role in my journey. Earning a degree in psychology gave me insight into human behavior, trauma, mindset development, and emotional health. While knowledge alone is not enough, combining professional training with the wisdom of God has allowed me to serve others in a more holistic and effective way.

For those who are early in their journey, my advice is to invest in developing these areas intentionally. Strengthen your resilience by learning how to recover without bitterness. Sharpen your discernment by staying rooted in truth and prayer, and listening closely to the voice of God. Pursue knowledge, but always invite God to breathe His wisdom into it. Education and experience are powerful tools, but without spiritual direction, they will always fall short. Stay teachable, stay surrendered, and trust that everything you walk through is preparation for the purpose you have yet to fully see.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes, I am looking for individuals to partner and collaborate with RepurposeHER. We are looking for people who have a true heart for servanthood, who are passionate about making an impact in the lives of others, and who feel called to be part of building something greater than themselves. RepurposeHER is not about personal platforms. It is about community, transformation, and Kingdom purpose.

I am seeking leaders who are willing to serve with their gifts and be part of laying a strong foundation as we continue to expand. We are looking for individuals gifted in areas such as leadership development, event planning, creative arts, digital media, communications, faith-based coaching, community outreach, and spiritual mentorship.

If you have a heart to serve, build, and help women walk in their God-given purpose, I would love to connect with you. You can learn more by visiting www.repurposehernow.com or by emailing us at [email protected].
