We recently connected with Gina Gittens and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Gina, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience stems from my determination to create and live the life I know I’m meant for—a reflection of the reality I believe exists for me.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m the founder of A Little Piece of ZenVen, a wellness-based brand dedicated to helping individuals reconnect with balance, intention, and self-love through holistic and mindful experiences. My journey began from a personal desire to create sacred spaces and products that support emotional healing, relaxation, and empowerment — especially for women of color who often carry so much on their shoulders.
What makes my work most exciting is witnessing how these offerings—whether it’s our ritual sets, wellness tools, or intentional events—help others find peace and presence in their daily lives. Each scent, blend, and experience is crafted to encourage stillness, reflection, and the reminder that you are worthy of rest and restoration.
Right now, we’re preparing to launch The Enriched You Woman’s Program in February 2026, a transformative experience designed to help women pour back into themselves and reclaim their sense of wholeness. We’re also thrilled to be airing Episode Three of our Hey Beautiful Brown Girl podcast, where we explore conversations around wellness, womanhood, and the beauty of our shared experiences.
At its core, my brand is about reminding people that wellness isn’t a luxury — it’s a lifestyle and a birthright.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, three qualities and skills that have been most impactful in my journey are resilience, intentionality, and adaptability.
Resilience has allowed me to navigate challenges without losing sight of my vision. Building a business or creative endeavor inevitably comes with setbacks, and the ability to persevere and learn from those moments is critical. My advice for those early in their journey is to embrace failure as a teacher — each obstacle holds a lesson that strengthens your foundation.
Intentionality has guided every decision I make, from product creation to collaborations. Being clear about your purpose and the values that drive your work ensures that your efforts remain aligned with your goals. For those starting out, I recommend dedicating time to define your “why” and letting it inform every action you take.
Adaptability has been key in responding to changes in the market, feedback from clients, and unexpected opportunities. Learning to pivot without compromising your vision allows for growth in ways you might never anticipate. My advice here is to stay open, observe trends, and be willing to adjust your approach while holding true to your mission.
Developing these qualities takes practice: seek out challenges, reflect on your experiences, and surround yourself with mentors or peers who inspire growth. Over time, these skills become the pillars that support both personal and professional success.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Absolutely! I’m always open to partnering and collaborating with individuals and organizations that share a similar vision of wellness, empowerment, and community impact. I’m particularly interested in connecting with wellness practitioners, fellow creatives, educators, and organizations that prioritize holistic well-being and intentional living.
Collaborations that inspire meaningful experiences, whether through events, product launches, or educational initiatives, are especially exciting. If you’re interested in working together, the best way to connect is through my website or social media channels, where you can reach out directly to discuss ideas and opportunities. I love exploring partnerships that are mutually enriching and that create value for the communities we serve.
