We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ginny Delaitre. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ginny below.
Ginny, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
Finding my purpose has been a testament to perseverance. I’ve always believed that purpose is revealed through action—trying new things, learning from outcomes, and evolving. Early in my career, I was driven by curiosity, testing different facets of development, design, marketing, and communication. I had many titles and performed a great variety of jobs. Some efforts succeeded; others fell flat. But each experience taught me something valuable and gradually clarified what energized me most: creating genuine, human-centered connections that make a difference.
My journey took a defining turn when I founded VDS Digital Agency in 2021. I wanted to build a business rooted in authenticity, fostering meaningful relationships. I started working as a designer, then transitioned to UX design, to finally integrate marketing as a primer with what I called UX Marketing.
At VDS, we develop strategies with our clients that speak to users’ experiences, solve real problems, and add value. But making that vision a reality was no easy feat. In the first two years, we had to navigate a difficult market, prove that our user-focused approach was more than a buzzword, and overcome financial and operational challenges. However, by trying different pathways, we evolved into what we are today: an innovative Marketing Agency with a genuine foundation. We know that UX Marketing is what we do best because we have tried everything else.
Purpose doesn’t appear in moments of ease but in the choices we make during times of uncertainty. I’ve developed the habit of pausing to assess what’s working, what isn’t, and why it matters. Self-awareness has helped me refine not only VDS’s mission but also my connection to the work we do. Purpose isn’t just an abstract concept—it’s intertwined into how I lead my team, approach client relationships, and continuously strive to improve our services.
Today, I feel more connected to my purpose than ever because it is deeply rooted in my personal values: Transparency, Innovation, Collaboration, and Client-centric Solutions. These values are not just words on a page, but the guiding principles of our work at VDS. UX Marketing, for us, is about creating authentic connections, helping businesses grow, and building marketing solutions that put people first. It is what I was always meant to do, and each challenge through the last decade led me to where I am now.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three qualities that have most impacted my journey are self-awareness, resilience, and optimism.
Self-awareness has been essential for identifying what works, what doesn’t, and why it matters. To develop it, I take time for regular reflection, analyze my actions, and seek mentors’ feedback.
Resilience allowed me to persevere through setbacks and adapt. Build it by reframing obstacles as opportunities and focusing on growth rather than perfection.
Optimism kept me grounded, envisioning possibility even in adversity. Foster it by setting realistic goals, celebrating wins, and maintaining hope through change.
To improve these qualities, I advise you to create meaningful connections with peers and mentors who can understand what you are going through. Also, developing a solid sense of self is essential as an entrepreneur. Too often, people who don’t understand and don’t have all the variables try to advise you the wrong way, which is the reflection of their own fears. Being resilient, self-aware, and optimistic will get you through these moments of incertitude. If you have doubts, always seek guidance from a peer or mentor.
Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed, my go-to approach is to pause and reflect. Self-care is my priority, even though being a business owner—especially in marketing—often feels like being “always on.” The fast pace of the industry makes it challenging to step away. Still, by planning, asking for help, and delegating responsibilities to a trusted operational team, I get real moments of rest. Recognizing that consistent performance is built on a foundation of thoughtful downtime is vital.
I make it a point to rest whenever needed, even if it means taking an afternoon off on a Thursday. When I return, allowing myself to step back and recharge boosts my productivity and ideation. A clear, focused mind is crucial, especially when working through complex marketing strategies.
