Meet Giovanna Natty

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Giovanna Natty. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Giovanna, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

I’d say I’ve always been confident from a young age. Naturally, I’ve always been bold, but my self-esteem developed from the positive affirmations I grew up hearing. As a child, being constantly told by my loved ones that I was beautiful, funny, and full of character made me feel unique, and I truly believed it. Maintaining the confidence rooted in me comes mainly from taking good care of myself and doing what I say I will do. I’ve built a solid level of trust within myself, so I feel good about various aspects of my life and the different areas I’m involved in, as long as I’ve tried my best. It’s also about knowing that no two people are alike which means I’m special, you are too. Reminding myself how far I’ve come, the growth in mindset, and the milestones I’ve pushed myself to reach aids in making me feel confident.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

In October 2023, I launched HerGiftedGab, a multimedia platform website and Instagram of recorded interviews and written stories about creatives in the DMV who stand out through their brands or niche lifestyles, making a profound impact on their supporters and community. My platform embodies the essence of creation, connection, and culture, highlighted by my mantra: “I Write. I Connect. I Create.” Within a year, my duties expanded beyond blogging. I introduced The Creative Realm service, offering content creation and creative direction services. Clients can book consultations to discuss their goals, whether it’s a graphic design for themselves or their brand or I’m executing photoshoots with mood boards, creative ideas, and directive outreach. My role is to help bring their visions to life. Creating those designs and projects revealed much more of my potential and as people recognized my work and inquiries grew, I embraced this new avenue, pushing myself to higher levels of creativity, interviews, and social media impact. Since I interview people and am a great conversationalist, I’ve also been a media personality, representing another brand for interviews, and would like to professionally take on more roles where I can interview for larger audiences. What excites me most about what I do is the opportunity to learn from others, which, in turn, helps me learn more about myself. The endless possibilities that come with new challenges or unexpected opportunities make my work even more enjoyable and fulfilling and I can’t wait to see the roles I continue to take on, the special guests I’ll meet, and the rooms I’ll work.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

A quality that is most impactful on my journey is perseverance. Learning from trial and error made me be able to improve my quality of work each time I put out a blog or piece of work for a client. Confidently stepping up to help others bring their creative visions to life, or upgrading my formula to successfully blog on HerGiftedGab sometimes without knowing the exact outcome, has been a rewarding challenge. Reflecting on the goals I’ve achieved and the risks I’ve taken reminds me that perseverance isn’t just about pushing forward—it’s about trusting the process and growing through every opportunity. A skill most impactful in my journey is being flexible. Graduating in Mass Communications taught me the importance of mastering basic skills and adapting to industries like advertising, digital marketing, and journalism. An area of knowledge most impactful on my journey is my community. At the core, my community drives me to do what I do. So many people are unique and talented, and I want to capture that. That’s why conversation matters. Supporting others in my community, while they support me, has been super impactful on my journey. I’ve built meaningful relationships that bring us closer to opportunities for mutual growth and success.

I’m still early in my journey, but if I could offer advice to anyone sitting on a big idea, waiting for the “right moment,” enough money, or resources to fully execute it, I’d say create a plan and be proactive. Developing perseverance means being willing to fail, learn, and try again. Understand that things won’t always go according to plan, but be flexible. Keep embracing change, and doors will still open for you. Build relationships with your community and people who share your passions, and support each other along the way.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I’m always looking to collaborate with creatives in the media and communications industry and organizations needing interview coverage for their events. I’ve worked with creative directors, artists, brand owners, podcasters, and more, and I’m passionate about continuing to build professional relationships within this community. Whether it’s interviewing designers at fashion shows, guests at summits, concerts, or networking events, my goal is to be fully immersed in these spaces, connect with people, and share their stories. If you or your team need a media personality for events or social spaces, let’s connect! You can reach me at hergiftedgab@gmail.com or via Instagram DM at @hergiftedgab.
