Hi Giovanni, so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?
All I had was my pure desire and determination to be successful in my field of work. Most of what I’ve learned and am learning still, I taught myself. To realize I can accomplish things, based on a natural given talent is motivation to continue to reach for higher.

I am the founder and leading artist of L. U. C. Productions and founder of marketing organization Approval Unlimited, specializing in modern entertainment, fashion and community service. With over 20 years of experience, we aim to be the leading organizations of today’s entertainment and philanthropical services to our surrounding communities.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Patience: Success never happens overnight and to understand there’s work to be done and dues to pay in the your industry will help you build a solid foundation in your skills and goals for longevity.

Learning the basics: Like any profession, the key to building your skills is basic fundamentals. Learn the basics and then learn to advance.

Dedication: In order to reach for success, you must stay the course and put in the work, no matter how long or difficult it seems. You will appreciate the rewards more.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?
The one challenge I’ve encountered then and now is wearing multiple hats. I’ve held multiple positions as artist, songwriter/composer, manager, CEO & CFO and other positions alone. As difficult as it can be, the accomplishments I’ve made are more appreciated.
