We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Gizem Gulec Bulsat a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi GIZEM, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
George Bernard Shaw said ” Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” Let’s think some about it. The purpose of human is exploring self. While exploring self , the person build yourself. Well , what is meaning of self-discovery ?
As for me, the self-discovery is based on curiosity. Sense of wonder lead us into research and consideration. Such as , you learn art or things about art when you interested in art. Hence , you grow about this subject and you create new self with art.
Every new subject give new network and our shepere of influence change. By the end of the day , we create new self and we serve humanity with new self. I would like to share a short conversation in Pastor Mike Jr.’s video I watched recently : “ A plum tree does not eat plums. A pear tree does not eat pears. All they get is water. Because the fruit is not for the tree. The fruit is for the people passing by and, your talent is not for you. That’s why when you’re feeling down and depressed at home, you can say something to someone on the phone that will change their life. Because your talent is not for you. Wisdom is for you.”
Like a butterfly effect , you influence your friend then your friend influence other people. So , don’t think a lot about your purpose . Don’t be someone else , just be yourself. Grow yourself ! Go with the flow!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
As an engineer, I focused on professionally IT field. I had work experince of 5 years in Mobile Software Applications. I just completed Google Cybersecurity Certificate. I recommend Coursera online courses. Besides , I am interested in Photography. I try to transform my photos to clothes because of my interest in fashion. If you would like to review it, you are welcome to visit my “Arcane Vision” instagram page. The most exiciting thing is produce something about it. I love produce and I love to see/explore my limits.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back , My three qualities that were most impactful in my journey ; to be visionary, manage time and researcher personality. First of all ,I recommend focusing on the things you are curious about. Becuse the person research , manage time and earn visionary in thing that are curious about. Your curiosity is your journey.
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed , I take a break. Gap is good thing in our life. Don’t afraid your gap in life. Also, It helps us see big picture. At those times, Refresh your brain by focusing on different topics.
