We recently connected with Gloria Ward and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Gloria, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I get my resilience from my Grandmother. She taught me so many things about how to withstand and recover from adversity. I’m forever grateful to her for that.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m the person women come to when they are experiencing a big change in their life. Whether that is divorce, spiritual awakening, new job or business, or any trauma. It is in that period they get serious about discovering who they really are. It makes me excited because I get to pour into that woman and let that woman know that she’s not alone. I also get to introduce her to other women who overcame and became so she feels like she has a sense of community. The I’m Loving Me Project was born as a result of that, and we’ve been going strong ever since. We have amazing events and programs to help women navigate their transformation.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Listening
2. Setting Boundaries
3. Practicing detachment
My advice for anyone that is new to this journey is to be kind to yourself. There is no quick fix. You’re not going to change overnight, and your feelings are going to be all over the place. Allow yourself to feel those feelings. Give yourself time to process them. Connect with people who can support you.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
