Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Grace Ascione. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Grace, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I have an internal drive that motivates me to persistently work with small businesses optimizing their marketing. I was raised in a very conservative home where women did not work outside of managing the family and I always knew that I wanted more than what I was told I had to be. I had a business and marketing ability but my parents and conservative environment did not understand it and tried to squelch it. So I found a path to enable my abilities but appease them. I became a nurse and then transitioned into marketing for healthcare.
I found a quote that really sums up my efforts over the last 20 years
“Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out” – John Collier
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I enjoy working with healthcare businesses to grow their services and raise awareness of what they offer through digital services. In the lat 5 years, the digital platform that represents a business is the first impact most businesses have on a prospective client. I help business owners understand what their digital presence looks like and how to improve on it so they can attract and grow their client base. I have found a niche in specializing in Google Ads and Keyword analysis as this optimizes Organic Search leads and Advertising leads. I really enjoy working with business owners and see the results of our work together.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Persistence | Remain Curious | Business Relationships
Persistence – Keep working, even when you don’t feel successful or that your efforts are producing the results you want. I find that planning each week and down to each day to the steps I need to take to have helped me through tough times. Successful marketing needs persistence. I see many business owners continually making changes to their marketing plans, and this can be detrimental as prospective clients need to see ads at least 7 times before making a purchase! I wrote a blog addressing this specifically: https://socorromarketing.com/repetition-ads/
Curious – Always remain curious to learn more about your industry. Digital marketing is constantly changing and I dedicate time each week to learning more about the products I offer through blogs, educational videos, and educational forums.
Relationships – This is where a lot of your referrals come through and networking with other business owners is very important.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am always looking to network with Website Designers, Graphic Designers, and Social Media experts for referrals and work. And for any small business owner in healthcare who is looking to attract new clients!
