Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Grace`Brann Kaylee Fitzgerald. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Grace`Brann, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Should I revisit my answers to the other questions? If so, would you provide them for me? Or, re-open the link for me to resubmit?
Thanks again!
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
At the time, we didn’t know we would be platonic soulmates, but after uniting at 16, graduating early and escaping the suburbs to the big city, we “grew up” together. Even though our paths looked very different… Grace pursued the corporate path, attempting to climb the ladder and navigating through terrible and failed relationships. Kaylee was heavily impacted by trauma and loss, while navigating motherhood, and mental health struggles. The universe set us both out on a journey of self-discovery and healing at the same time for different reasons. A journey we both feel triggered a profound shift. And once you experience this kind of awakening you want to share it with anyone who will listen.
We talk on the phone multiple times a day every day. Always sharing the latest thing we’ve learned, heard or tried when it came to our whole health. Things like how to use stoicism to remain in control, the science behind stress, or how to perform a friend break-up. We often found ourselves saying we wish we knew what we know now, earlier. Thus, we decided to start our podcast, “Figuring It Out with Grace & Kaylee”. The title explains it all. We want to continue to evolve while sharing everything with anyone who like us, wants to evolve in their physical, spiritual, and mental health. Our shared focus lies in aiding people’s pursuit of unlocks for their optimal well-being.
Our mission is to reach as many people as possible with information that could change someone’s life. The messages we receive from our audience on how they’ve applied something they’ve learned from our show, and the impact of that is why we do this!
You can support the show by listening and subscribing on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. We also are always looking to share your unique stories about whole health. If there’s one thing we’ve learned so far, it’s that we all have something to contribute to the conversation. If you feel like you can help someone with an experience you’ve been through, or your expertise, please email us at figuringitoutgk@gmail.com.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1) Enjoy being the least informed or experienced person in the room. It means you’re in the right room.
2) If you can’t participate in a conversation with an open mind and as an attentive listener, then you shouldn’t be having the conversation.
3) Stay authentic—your individuality sets you apart in this world, and sharing your unique viewpoint is crucial. Your voice is a singular asset, capable of offering truth and assistance to others.
Our best advice for anyone who has a goal or an idea they want to turn into a reality is to stop waiting for things to be perfect to do it. There’s never the perfect time, you’ll never feel ready, and you’ll always have things to learn. Just start.
Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
In general, we feel the more you prioritize your physical, emotional, and spiritual health the easier it is to deal with feelings of anxiety. These feelings will come and go, that’s life. How quickly you’re able to recover is the real skill.
Here are our favorite things to do when we start to feel overwhelmed:
1) An outdoor walk – no phones allowed!
2) Meditate – sounds simple, but it’s crazy what some breath work and quieting the brain will do for your clarity
3) A life audit – break down what you’re actually spending your time on. Break down the day by minutes and log each task for a week. You’ll start to notice where you’re wasting time and then re-allocate that time to something that brings you balance and joy
