Grant, thrilled to have you on the platform as I think our readers can really benefit from your insights and experiences. In particular, we’d love to hear about how you think about burnout, avoiding or overcoming burnout, etc.
I personally have had to overcome and avoid burn outs in many aspects of my life. life is a very tricky avenue to navigate there will be many ups and down and its all about how you over come them.
one of my favorite ways to avoid burn outs when its comes to me making content and living my life on social media is to take a step back and see there is always something to learn. It takes a lot of self respect to notice you aren’t the best at something and there is always someone or something that can help you improve in any aspect of life. That is what I like to call staying hungry the urge to not burn about because you know there is always something more to achieve.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My name is Grant A Popovits and I am a Sneaker based Content Creator. My main reason for creating content daily is to inspire and show people that you can do whatever you want to in life wither that cooking ,working a 9/5 or even making content you can always find happiness. For me its not about the dollars you make the places you see or the car you drive its about the journey and people you meet along the way.
I have been making sneaker content online for around 4 years now and don’t regret a single second of it.
production of content started when I was a senior in high school because I had zero idea what I wanted to do when I graduated. I’ve make content from skits to sneaker reviews and even traveled with the US with an Event called sneaker con to make content! my brand has far surpassed what I personally every thought was possible. Off everything I’ve build some of the biggest brands have noticed me and done partnerships along side me. at the end of the day all this passion and drive come from the younger sneakerhead in side of me growing up all I cared about was shoes so to be able to call this a job makes me so proud!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
networking- some of the best thing that can happen to you aren’t necessarily things that you can bring your self. sometimes a person you meet along your journey will give you advice, connections or even just some kind words that can impact the way everything is working for you at the current moment in good ways.
open minded – sometimes life isn’t as easy as it seems and you have to be open to the criticism to grow . you have to always be adapting to new trends even if you don’t quite understand them.
knowing your self as a person- This path of social Media can be a long journey which requires a lot of self knowledge. you have to be able to know your self and find ways to let you grow over time which is very hard when you don’t know your self as a person
Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?
one of the biggest challenges I’m currently facing is that I live over 13 hours from anyone in my family. I took a Huge Risk to move to Kansas city Mo from GA to help develop my self and my brand. as hard as this struggle is its all apart of my journey and it wont be like this forever
