Meet grant wallace

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Grant Wallace a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Grant, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

Optimism in this current climate comes from people trying to do something to better help our planet. I’m a very small cog in the wheel for helping the climate crisis.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I do monthly glass recycling pickups for our Atlanta neighbors. I make sure the glass gets recycled every time. My customers aren’t 100% sure what happens if the city try’s to recycle glass so I’m a solution to the problem.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I just wanted to provide a service for something that wasn’t currently being met. There are just a handful of people in Atlanta offering something similar. It feels good to know that people enjoy my service because it’s helping them and the planet at the same time.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

My son has been most helpful. He’s only 1 year old but he’s the catalyst for doing this. Need to help address this problem now so it can be something bigger and better in the years to come.
