Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to GREGORY ANDONIAN, M.D.. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi GREGORY, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?
In my opinion persistence comes along in conjunction with your work ethic, optimism and drive. Life isn’t static, there are highs and lows and persevering despite the lows and pushing forward to achieve more and do better even during the highs is what persevering is all about. Haters and nay sayers are the fuel and catalyst that can push you to achieve bigger and better things. I’ve always been a glass half full type of person that sets my eyes on a goal, small or large and despite the obstacles I continue to push to achieve that goal or my vision and in my experience the more haters and nay sayers you notice around you, the more likely you’re doing something right or are on the right track. I may not always get to where I’m going on the path that I thought I would or in the way I thought I would but understanding that persisting and adapting in ways that I need to in order to get there all the while using my hard work ethic, optimism and drive is what allows me to persist despite the situation.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I continue to work on expanding my business Andon Aesthetics along with continuing my teaching to educate future aesthetic physicians at the American Board of Aesthetic Medicine. I even recently had the pleasure of giving a lecture to future physicians in a residency program where I introduced them to aesthetics as a business as well as a medical field. Aesthetics is a field that is exciting because we are able to give confidence as well as improve people’s appearance and I find great joy in helping people achieve their journey to looking and feeling younger and better. I even recently became a key opinion leader for a global corporation that uses technology to achieve those goals. I was able to use that position to offer new services at Andon Aesthetics that allows us to use radio frequency devices that help people look and feel younger and we are excited to have it in my office because so far we are seeing great results with little to no downtime after the procedures.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back the three qualities, skills or areas of knowledge that were most impactfull were one, training with the best training course that exists, two, passion for the aesthetics field and three, support from my staff. The passion for aesthetics is what gave me the drive to start my career, the training with the American Board of Aesthetic Medicine is what gave me the solid foundation to be a knowledgeable and skilled aesthetic physician and the support from my staff, my RN and my NP that helped develop my business further were all impactfull. The best advice I think I can give for people that are early in their journey in my opinion would be find what your passionate about, try to learn from the best so that you have that solid foundation to work off of and surround yourself with people that align with your passion, drive and spirit to help you achieve those goals.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am always looking for people to collaborate with that are passionate about aesthetics and want to help spread the word about aesthetics as a field, it’s impact on people as well as how to best and safely achieve results in patients in order to showcase the power of aesthetics when done right. They can connect with me through our social media on IG or through email on our website.
