Meet Greicy Santos Charles

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Greicy Santos Charles. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Greicy, so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?

There have been many moments in my journey when I was the only one in the room who looked like me, spoke with my accent, or came from my background. At first, it was intimidating—I felt the weight of having to prove myself twice as much. But instead of allowing it to make me small, I decided to let it empower me.

I learned to turn that “difference” into my strength. Being the only one meant that I carried a unique perspective, and I realized that diversity of thought and experience is exactly what makes businesses and creative industries thrive. I made a conscious choice to show up with authenticity, to embrace my identity, and to lead with confidence even when I felt out of place.

Over time, this taught me resilience, adaptability, and the habit of preparation. I prepare deeply before entering any room, I speak with intention, and I let my work ethic speak for itself. The more I leaned into my uniqueness, the more I found that people respected not just what I do, but who I am.

Today, I see being “the only one” not as a disadvantage, but as an opportunity to open doors for others who will come after me. It has shaped me into a leader who values inclusivity and who understands that real success is not about fitting in—it’s about standing out.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am the founder and CEO of Diamond Skin Institute, a luxury beauty academy and clinic, and the creator of Grazie by Greicy, a fashion and lifestyle brand that blends elegance, innovation, and empowerment. My career began very early in the beauty industry in Brazil, and throughout the years I’ve built a path that connects beauty, education, and creativity in powerful ways.

What excites me the most about my work is the ability to transform not only appearances but also confidence and presence. Through beauty education, professional training, and creative projects, I aim to inspire women to embrace their individuality and unlock their potential.

I am also an author, currently writing my book series The Quantum Destiny Guardian, a powerful saga that blends science, mythology, and quantum mysticism. This project is very special to me because it represents not only a literary creation but also a way of sharing inspiration and awakening imagination on a global scale.

Right now, I am working on expanding my educational projects, launching new courses and training in the beauty industry, and preparing the international release of my book. My focus is on building a legacy that empowers people through knowledge, beauty, and storytelling.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

1. Resilience. Success does not come overnight, and challenges are inevitable. Resilience allowed me to keep moving forward when things were uncertain. My advice: embrace challenges as teachers and never see a setback as the end, but as a redirection.

2. Vision. Having clarity about where I wanted to go helped me make decisions aligned with my purpose. Even when opportunities seemed attractive, I learned to ask: Does this bring me closer to my bigger vision? My advice: take time to reflect, write down your dreams, and allow your vision to guide your choices.

3. Discipline. Talent opens doors, but discipline is what keeps them open. Building daily habits of focus, learning, and consistency shaped everything I’ve accomplished. My advice: start small, but be consistent—discipline compounds over time.

For those who are at the beginning of their journey: be patient with yourself, invest in your growth, and never underestimate the power of showing up authentically and consistently.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

The person who has been most helpful in my journey has been my mother. She taught me strength, resilience, and faith from a very young age. Her example showed me that no matter how many obstacles we face, we always have the power to rise above them with dignity and determination.

At the same time, I have also learned to be my own source of support. There were many moments when I had to believe in myself before anyone else did, and that inner trust became the foundation of my success.

So, I would say my mother gave me the roots, and my own self-belief gave me the wings. Together, they have been the most important forces in helping me overcome challenges and build the qualities that guide me today.
