Grxdience , so great to have you with us and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with the community. So, let’s jump into something that stops so many people from going after their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. We’d love to hear about how you dealt with that and persisted on your path.
Persisting on social media despite receiving hate can be tough, but it often comes down to focusing on the bigger picture. I remind myself of why I started posting in the first place which was to express myself and have fun. I try not to take the negativity personally, recognizing that it’s more about the person who’s hating than about me. I also try to focus on the positive interactions, no matter how small, and block out the noise. Setting boundaries is also very important. There have been times when the hate has gotten to me, like when commenters attack my wife because I can see how it hurts her. Ultimately though, staying true to my values and goals helps me to continue pursuing this path in life.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I started posting on TikTok back in 2019, just for fun, honestly. I didn’t have any big plans; I was just trying to kill time and get a laugh. It all started with me lip-syncing to songs with some pretty exaggerated facial expressions, which I guess people found hilarious. One day, one of my videos went viral. I woke up to so many notifications and I thought, What is happening? I wasn’t expecting anything like that, but it definitely gave me the confidence to keep posting and experimenting with my content. Over the years, my followers have been with me through a lot—my relationship, our engagement, getting married, and even buying our first house. They’ve literally watched my life unfold, and I’m so grateful for that. It’s kind of like they’re part of the family at this point.
I think what really resonates with people is that I’m just myself. Whether it’s doing eyeliner, painting my nails polish, or showing off my plant room (which is a whole vibe), I try to be as authentic as possible.
Not to mention, I’ve got 64 piercings, which is kind of wild, but it’s just another way I express myself. I’m always evolving, and I think that’s something my followers really connect with.
TikTok really became a space where I could share more than just fun videos—it became a place for me to share who I am, my growth, and my milestones.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I think that the three key qualities that really shaped my journey were authenticity, creativity, and resilience.
By staying authentic to me, creating new exciting content, and not giving up when views for low really allowed my following to grow.
My only advice would be to just find what you enjoy doing and keep doing it, no matter how hard.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Yes, I’m definitely open to collaborating! I absolutely love working with brands that align with my personal style and passions. Makeup brands, nail polish companies (especially gel polish!), hair dyeing products, and hair care lines are all areas I’m super excited to partner with. I’m also a huge fan of fashion, so collaborating with clothing brands is something I’d love to explore as well. Whether it’s creating fun, engaging content or sharing my honest experience with products I love, I’m all about collaborating with brands that fit my vibe and resonate with my audience.
