Meet Hadiyah Richards

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Hadiyah Richards. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Hadiyah below.

Hadiyah, we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?

Self-care may be defined to some people as treating themselves to a spa day or taking themselves out on a date. For me “self-care” is about partnering with Jesus in everything that I do, including creating content. For an example, I may take myself out to grab coffee and read, but I will be praying, reading the Bible, having conversations with the Lord, and working on my business ideas. I may pull out the camera and capture moments of me talking to the Lord like a video diary. I may even evangelize that day, but I never know because each day is indescribable with him. Other times I may sit in my car and just think about the Lord, cry, and then have my moments with him. This is what my “self-care” looks like. It’s all about him. It has a great impact on my effectiveness because with the Lord by my side, he teaches me things during that day that I didn’t know I needed and they are practical. I take those teachings with me daily in my walk with Christ.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I have been creating content for years, but I have had a love-hate relationship with it in the past. I wasn’t getting the attraction I had hoped, some content people didn’t like as much as the other videos I have created. But, I told the Lord this year will be something new. I decided to take content creation seriously and try to be more consistent. I’m trying to grow an audience as we speak in hopes of me gaining opportunities to help support my family. I love sharing the gospel and sharing my testimony and opinions on social media platforms. I’m very bold when I speak which is sometimes enjoyable to others, haha! I am not working currently because I quit my job to do content creation full time. The Lord put on my heart to start my podcast this year of 2025. I will be discussing vulnerable stories and experiences in hopes of helping others heal and for the people who are curious about Jesus and want to begin a new life with him through my testimony. The podcast will be the most exciting adventure because I get to meet new people, be real and raw, and help others.

Another business adventure I’m excited about is starting a candle business. I’ve been loving candles and decided to start that. I have so many ideas that will all incorporate together in the near future.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Working in the retail field, I have picked up leadership skills, time management, and team building. Working a 9-5 was part of my journey because I believe the Lord wanted me to gain these skills so I can use them in the real world of business and self-employment. Being bold in my faith, creating a brand for myself, all with the help of God really put me in a position where the sky is the limit and anything is possible with the Lord. I think some piece of advice I would tell people is to ask the Lord, “What do you want me to do and what is my purpose?” He will eventually tell or show you through people, the Bible, or through social media. I think people should start with those questions and then put yourself out there, create a portfolio if you are artistic or be consistent in all things and opportunities will come. If you want to be a makeup artist (I used to be freelance back in my days) pick some girls and do their makeup and film! You will get noticed, but be your own leader and you will thrive. He gave me my purpose and it is to spread the good news about him through everything that I do. Since, I will be a stay at home mom I have time on my hands to dive deep into what he has called me to do.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

For my content creation, I’m looking for people and companies to partner with anything beauty, fashion or mental health related. I would love to work with mostly Christian brands, but any brand that uphold to God-like values. I would love to have guest speakers on the podcast and the people who can encourage, equip, and share things that are relatable and valuable in the Christian community would have to be, Pastor Phillip Anthony Mitchell, Megan Ashley, Jackie Hill Perry, Emma Moore, and any Dallas/Fort Worth people who have been dealing with things in their own journey and want to share on a platform. Even my church folks can come on the podcast too! People may contact me through social media or email.
