We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Haille Baraka. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Haille below.
Hi Haille, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?
Honestly those who know me know I couldn’t care less what anyone else has to say about me, I’m gonna do everything I wanna do regardless. I block the haters by hitting them with kindness and confidence. I stay focused on my goals and let my work speak for itself. We all have our down days, but I don’t give negativity a front-row seat in my life—there’s no room for that when I’m busy thriving.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I wear a lot of hats so it’s always hard for me to answer this! I recently became the Marketing Director for Loud Logs, which is an exciting new step for me. I’m also the Associate Director with for a college dormitory, focusing on property management and leasing. I’m a realtor with W Real Estate. On top of that, I’m pursuing my passion for modeling and working with my best friend on artist development and building our personal brands.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I would say adaptability, the ability to network and just having the perserverence and drive. Transitioning between roles in property management, real estate, marketing, and modeling required me to embrace change and learn quickly. Challenges often became opportunities because I remained open to growth.
Advice: Embrace discomfort and seek out diverse experiences. Push yourself to learn new skills, even outside your comfort zone, because that’s where growth happens.
Building meaningful connections has played a huge role in my success. Networking opened doors to new opportunities in real estate, marketing, and even modeling. The relationships I’ve cultivated have not only helped me professionally but also personally.
Advice: Focus on building genuine relationships. Attend events, stay active on platforms like LinkedIn, and don’t be afraid to reach out to people you admire. Always aim to provide value to others—it’s a two-way street.
Balancing multiple careers and pursuing modeling hasn’t been easy, but perseverance and setting clear goals have kept me motivated. Having a clear vision of where I want to go has helped me stay on track.
Advice: Define your goals and remind yourself why they matter. Stay focused and surround yourself with people who uplift and inspire you. Celebrate small wins, and don’t let setbacks derail you—they’re often stepping stones to something greater.
Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
I’m super big on practicing self care. When I’m not having the greatest day I always make sure to end my night with simple self care whether its a nice bath and facial or buying snacks and doordash and having a movie night at home. I love going to the gym on a regular basis because its a great form of therapy. I know it sounds weird but cleaning is also a simple form of meditation for me and I find it very relaxing.
