Meet Halo Summerlin

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Halo Summerlin a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Halo , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I always thought I was living my purpose until life pulled me to Seattle. In Los Angeles, I thrived as a creative, supported and nurtured, by a strong network of extraordinary friends. I, in turn, was their support coaching and guiding when needed. I was deep in my purpose…or so I thought.
My life changed in the blink of an eye when my sister went into heart failure. The doctors wouldn’t help her without someone caring for her 24/7 for 3 months. I had to leave LA immediately. I was thrust into an unknown city separated from my 30-year network and security blanket.

My support allowed her to get the procedure she needed, but after 10 difficult months and multiple strokes, she passed away. Without her insurance covering my housing, I had 3 days to vacate the facility. I fell into hardship. Thankfully, Seattle’s programs helped me get back on my feet quickly.
During that time, I turned inward for healing. I struggled with the pressure of staying in touch with concerned friends and family who didn’t understand that my process often required non-communication. I listened to my gut and uncomfortably placed a boundary between them and me. I was seeking both, solace and an escape, in tarot videos on Youtube when a cardology video popped up.
Cardology is a powerful 20,000-year-old mathematical system. It uses an ordinary deck of playing cards and a birthdate and blends it with numerology and astrology to create highly accurate readings. Cardology speaks to the special codes with which we are all born. Luckily, all codes have a key and I felt an odd obsessive pull to know all of the keys. Initially, it was a splatter of numbers, cards and meanings thrown at my face that never stuck. I booked a reading for help with my “communication” issue and this system.
My reading revealed I was a 5 of Diamonds, coded for a life of freedom—something that resonated deeply with my life’s experiences thus far. It spoke of the business ideas, jobs, moves, and relationships that never stuck. It all made sense. I wasn’t lost; I was living my cards but there were others to play. This revelation and my personal keys on how to rise above the limiting aspects of my cards’ code i.e. my life, was liberating. I wanted to share this information with the world. And for the first time in my life, a business idea stuck and with it my true purpose was revealed. Sound the trumpets! I created TheCardsSpeak™, a cardology company to empower others to find their own clarity and freedom.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m passionate about art, fashion, billiards and playing with my friends and cats. It is very easy for me to spend 8 hours a day in a pool hall. Sadly, I don’t have time because I’m expanding my cardology brand into the podcast world with TheCardsSpeak™: Are You Ready to Listen? podcast, available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

In my first episode, I introduce the fascinating world of cardology. Episode two dives into how cardology proves Tiger Woods’ ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, was destined for millionaire status. On Christmas, I’m super excited to release the first of a 3-part series on Elizabeth Taylor, where I’ll playfully explore the impact of cardology on different stages of her life. And even though I don’t drink, my passion for mixology will make a special appearance.
In my spare time, I volunteer for the Washington Talking Book and Braille library by recording audio books for their library.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three things that have most impacted my journey:
The first is my spiritual foundation, knowing that I don’t walk alone; that my ancestors are always around supporting me is truly my greatest strength.

The second is connected to my first, knowing that I am not alone strengthens my mental awareness. I am grateful for everyone that has crossed my path. It is easy to love the ones that put a smile on my face and support me and I support them. The ones that bring me the greatest heartache take more work, but I know deep down that our souls are assisting each other’s evolution. With tears down my face and pain in my heart, I can still sit in gratitude for our journeys together.

The last one is not easy but it’s very important for the world right now, and that is my ability to love unconditionally. Boundaries are necessary at times. But nothing will ever stop me from loving every person from my very core and seeing the beauty in our connections.

With any new business, it takes time to build a clientele. Add to that the great challenges of convincing people that cardology is a great empowerment tool and is different from other mystical systems. That is why I created my podcast, TheCardsSpeak™ Are You Ready To Listen? to demonstrate with visuals how the system works. The system is layered with complexities so I think this allows for better comprehension. Additionally, moving back to Los Angeles will be great for my business since it is a city looking for and open to new trends. People here love alternative healing and eastern philosophies and modalities.
