Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Hannah Lozano Agnone. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hannah, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
The key for me is to constantly adapt. I go stir-crazy if I do one thing for too long. So mixing it up helps me stay creative. I also recently started doing Morning Pages – where I write 3 handwritten pages every morning – and this helps me deconstruct a lot of the thoughts in my head before I start the day.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
After working for 8 years as a photographer, I felt like it was time to expand my services. Earlier this year (2023) I launched Poppy Marketing Co – a boutique marketing agency for small businesses. We offer everything from email marketing to fully done-for-you marketing.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Learning from experts who were already doing what I wanted to do. Mentorship has been so valuable to me over the years and still is! 2. Not letting imposter syndrome keep me from trying something new.
3. Being flexible! I change gears. A lot! If something isn’t working, it’s okay to move on to something else.
My best advice is to ask a lot of questions and try to learn as much as you can, and then keep doing it!
