Meet Hannah Serraino

We recently connected with Hannah Serraino and have shared our conversation below.

Hannah, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

Finding your purpose in the world can be difficult for anyone. I thought my purpose was like many others’: to go to college, get a degree, and find my forever career. I did go to college, I did obtain my degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. I was working towards finding my forever career while working as a restaurant server when I found out I was going to become a first time mom! My forever career had to take a back seat to part time serving and full time mommy-ing. My purpose had changed. Being a full time parent was my priority and full time job, but I still hung on to my part time serving job because I truly loved it. It was flexible with my personal schedule, I loved going into work and being social, I loved to serve people and bring a smile to their faces, I loved the hustle and bustle, but I knew that I wanted to branch out and find something of my very own to do. I came across the mobile snack cart idea by scrolling tiktok one day, and I knew instantly that this was MY purpose. It was perfect! I was still getting to serve people, enjoy people, and cater to people, but I was my own boss offering a fun and different custom catering experience to personal events. Being a business owner gives me the flexibility to take care of my life priorities during the week and work events on the weekends. I realized my purpose was figuring out a way to have it all (education, family, career) even if it looks a little different than the norm.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My main focus for Snack Sized sweet treat cart, was to bring a unique and fun experience to any event! With our 10 different snack options, custom menus/ toppings lists/cup stickers/utensil toppers, and easy mobile setup, and friendly service we bring a perfect addition to your party! Not only do we bring your favorite snacks, but we also include your specific theme in our custom inclusions, and give you a carefree catering experience.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

1 Trust in your idea- You need to trust your idea because you are the only one who will make it successful.
2 Be unapologetically yourself- Do not lose yourself or your integrity trying to fit in with the “in crowd”. Set yourself apart.
3 Always stay focused on your goal- because you are the one who will make it a reality.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

There have been a few people who have helped me succeed in my business. Firstly, My husband has been my biggest support. He was all in when I brought up the idea of a snack cart. He not only made my cart at our house in his spare time, but he goes to every single one of our events to help and support me. Secondly, I made friends with many successful snack carts all around the United States. They gave so many great tips and tricks to starting and maintaining a successful business. Thirdly, my family and friends who have shared my excitement and supported my business with others.
