Meet Hanneke Antonelli

We recently connected with Hanneke Antonelli and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Hanneke, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
I suffered from depression and crippling anxiety in my late teens and early adulthood, and after hitting rock bottom when my medicine malfunctioned, I was determined to do everything I could to get better. It was during this time that I discovered the power of coaching, and it had a profound impact on my mental health. I started to see how important it is to pay close attention to our beliefs and thoughts and how our mindsets influence our feelings and actions. By making my mental health a priority and working on overcoming deep-rooted limiting beliefs daily, I’ve been able to cultivate a more positive outlook on life. To me, optimism is a practice – it’s not slapping a fake smile on everything or a mask of positive toxicity. It’s honoring your true feelings and processing them. From there, we get to step into the power of choice, upgrading our beliefs and thoughts and taking action towards our desired outcomes.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
In my business coaching and consulting practice, I work with service-based entrepreneurs ready to revolutionize their businesses – increasing profits while creating more freedom and growing effective teams. As I mentioned, coaching saved my life; it helped me overcome depression, allowed me to manifest my husband on a beach in Portugal, grow two award-winning businesses, and so much more. When I asked my then-coach if she thought it was a good idea for me to start my coaching business, her answer was: “Absolutely – you’re living proof that coaching works.“ Since that day, I’ve coached hundreds of people, primarily entrepreneurs, who wanted to find joy and passion for their businesses again while also making more money. It’s been an honor and gift to work with these business owners and watch them soar!

Most recently, I’ve developed a Business Acceleration Assessment to help folk more quickly identify exactly what they need to focus on to increase their profits and freedom. This 3-minute assessment quiz involves some simple multiple-choice questions. At the end, participants get a score, along with suggested areas for improvement and some instant tips. They’ll also be emailed all your results and feedback as a PDF report. Take the quiz, by clicking here: https://assessment.hannekeantonelli.com/?source=wiseinterviews

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I’ve always been very tenacious, with a lot of endurance and grit. These three qualities, along with my self-discipline, definitely played a huge role in building two award-winning businesses and making bold career changes. I would also say that experience, education, and certifications are essential. Especially given the fact that there are very few coaches who have completed coaching certifications and have a strong business background. And even fewer have built two award-winning businesses themselves. Business runs deep in my veins; my dad was an accountant, and I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. I’ve worked in various business divisions, from accounting to sales, and ended up as a broker on Wall Street in London and New York.

If you’re new to your journey, I highly recommend that you spend time gaining experience and getting the credentials or certifications. This will not only help you gain more confidence, but it will also help you get your clients better results and increase your credibility.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Permitting myself to start doing business my way. This may not seem like a challenge — but we’re so conditioned by social media and society to think that there is a silver bullet or roadmap to success out there. I’ve met and started working with so many entrepreneurs who broke their businesses and burnt themselves out because they followed someone else’s step-by-step opinions. And I get it because that used to be me as well. Once I realized that the best blueprint for my success and joy was locked up inside me, it set me free and accelerated my business growth (while working and worrying less.) And I love helping my clients do this as well. As a result, they’ve gone on to expand their locations nationwide, doubled income, sold businesses, and created more freedom, satisfaction, and joy.
