Meet Harrison Friedman

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Harrison Friedman. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Harrison , we are so appreciative of you taking the time to open up about the extremely important, albeit personal, topic of mental health. Can you talk to us about your journey and how you were able to overcome the challenges related to mental issues? For readers, please note this is not medical advice, we are not doctors, you should always consult professionals for advice and that this is merely one person sharing their story and experience.

Exercise! Repetition is everything. However people say the definition is insanity is doing something over and over again is insanity I disagree. If you’re good at something or want to get good at it. You keep doing it. Failure and being too hard on yourself is a slippery slope when it comes to mental health. Whether it’s writing a joke or shooting a jump-shot, you’ll get better at remembering punchlines along with your shooting form. I get really hard on myself and anxious about my future. I think comedy is a great line of work to fail in. If you fail at what you love, you’ll never suffer!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Former podcaster with the podcast Jew Anon, current comedian with potential projects in the works. You can find me at wits end or performing in the low country in general. I’ve traveled for gigs and plan to do so whenever given the feasible opportunity. I also sell heavy equipment at Ravenel Truck and Equipment and I really enjoy helping out contractors and the working class that help improve Charleston and the low country as we know it.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Learning new languages! Teaching ESL to Arabic speakers. It gave me empathy to immigrants. I have a soft spot for those who come to this countries for better opportunity. We are very lucky to have freedom of press and internet access. Some parts of the world do not have a freedom of press and I find that priceless.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

People who don’t grift. I want authenticity. People who value slapstick humor and see the big picture simultaneously. Be able to talk about conspiracies, what we can do to scene from being on the men vs at the table. People with ideas because sometimes a man like myself needs to admit he can be a follower better than a leader sometimes.
