Meet Harry Kleedorfer

We were lucky to catch up with Harry Kleedorfer recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Harry , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

As a child, I watched my father fight to provide for and defend his family. No matter the personal cost, he always made sure our needs were met. As an adult, I model my father’s spirit in both my work and personal life – making sure that, regardless of obstacles and challenges, my goals and aspirations are achieved. When I fight, I fight to win.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

As the President of Freaks of HHN, a social media based and haunted attraction-focused platform, I am passionate about the spooky arts! Founded out of a love for Halloween, haunted attractions, and theme park spookiness, Freaks of HHN has grown from a single Facebook page to a cross-media brand visiting locally and nationally-based attractions and haunts and sharing them with our followers. We focus on themed entertainment-based content and helping others plan their own vacations and adventures. We are a dedicated group of haunt enthusiasts, theme park aficionados, and attraction devotees. We love what we do, and our passion for fun, creativity, and unique experiences bonds us with people from all across the United States and beyond.

You can find our regularly updated attraction blog and links to our many social media channels at freaksofhhn.com.

But my latest endeavor involves giving back to local horror-focused artists and haunted attractions. I am one of the founding members of Haunted Orange, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the support and celebration of the spooky arts. Our mission is twofold: We will celebrate existing artists through the first-of-its-kind Museum of Haunted Attractions and support new haunters with a ready-made venue space. Find out more about our mission at hauntedorange.org.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Perseverance. Passion. Positivity.

When you decide to do something you really care about, don’t ever give up. Keep pushing. Keep working. You never know which day you’ll get your breakthrough.

Another tip: make sure your goals and efforts inspire your joy. Freaks of HHN is made of enthusiastic and genuine haunt and theme park fans. We adore these attractions, and that makes our work feel like play.

Stay optimistic. In this life, outlook is everything. Keeping a good attitude can mean all the difference between disappointing results and massive success.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

As a growing organization, Freaks of HHN is always looking for corporate sponsors and partners for mutual support. Additionally, we are passionate about building up the content creation community through collaborative social media posts and content.

In our nonprofit ventures, we need to connect with haunters, professionals, and other talented individuals in order to bring the Haunted Orange/Museum of Haunted Attractions vision to life. If you are interested in collaborating or partnering with either Freaks of HHN or Haunted Orange, please contact us at either [email protected] or [email protected].
