Meet Harshita, Aadya, & Ayushi

We recently connected with Harshita, Aadya, & Ayushi and have shared our conversation below.

Harshita, Aadya, & Ayushi, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?

We stay focused on our mission and the impact we want to create. Criticism or doubt from others is inevitable, but we separate constructive feedback from nonconstructive, use what helps us grow, and keep moving forward.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

At Empowerfly, we empower young girls to discover their leadership potential through workshops, mentorship, and community programs. We’re excited to be expanding our programs and offering new opportunities for girls to build skills, confidence, and connections. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of girls to make an impact in their communities through career growth.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The three most impactful qualities for us have been resilience, collaboration, and vision. Early on, focus on finding mentors, working with others, and setting small goals to build these skills.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?

When we feel overwhelmed, we pause and prioritize, breaking tasks into smaller, manageable steps. We also reach out to our team or mentors for support and remind ourselves to focus on what we can control. Our advice: don’t try to do everything at once, take it step by step.
