We recently connected with Hayli Castor and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Hayli with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My work ethic is fueled from my upbringing, future goals, & the love I have for second hand fashion. Providing for myself through reselling and content creation is more of a hobby than it is a job.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Each vintage garment is hand sourced with love all across the United States. Bluprint vintage focuses on sustainability when it comes to today’s fashion & the hottest trends. Landfills are overflowing with fast fashion brands & cheap clothing, meanwhile most things can be thrifted. I am expanding my name & brand through a unique denim collection, dropping in a few months. Each item will be reworked vintage and handmade. Sharing my art & having the girls and gays rep Bluprint vintage means so much to not only myself, but the inner child fashionista I’m rooting for everyday.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Mastering the concept of valuable content creation, new trends, & what makes you stand out is essential in the fashion industry. Dressing in ways that express who you are, regardless of anyone’s opinion is such an important factor. Life is too short to not wear garments that bring you happiness. Unapologetically be yourself, represent that through fashion, and never stop sharing your art.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
“Down the drain”, by Julia Fox. This book is written so beautifully. Julia Fox narrates the audiobook herself, bringing the experience as a reader to an intriguing yet personal level. Julia shares all of her experiences, including the chaotic challenges making her into who she is today. Her iconic image & aura was born from pain & courage. She knew she had something special, and never gave up on that little “something”. As Julia said, sometimes you have to burn everything to the ground, just to live the life you were meant to live.
