Heather and Barbara, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
Our Optimism definitely comes from our Faith in God. Our faith allows us to expect the best possible outcome or to dwell on the most hopeful aspects of a situation… Although there so many sad and bad things happening in the world, we choose to focus on the good. Instead of focusing on the negative, having faith and optimism reminds us to look on the bright side ( trusting that “good things” are happening also… By nature, most people tend toward either optimism or pessimism, regardless of their relationship with God. Everyone’s glass is either “half full” or “half empty.” So, even though optimism not the same as faith in God…Our faith anchors us in trusting God to direct our paths.

Hi! We are Heather and Babs…A mother-daughter duo and co authors o f a 31 day Devotional, Look on the Bright Side. The world now more than ever needs a BRIGHT LIGHT to shine . That light has arrived! LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE (book) was released on AMAZON during the stay at home order, when Heather and Babs could NOT be together physically but spent countless hours and days penning this inspirational 31-day devotional to helping readers find Joy on this journey. There are plenty of dark situations happening these days , but this book focuses on faith & the silver lining of Covid, while toasting to the resilience of our communities with hope, humor, and an assurance of brighter days ahead.

Our book focuses on faith & the silver linings of every tough situtation, while toasting to the resilience of our communities with hope, humor, and an assurance of brighter days ahead. So, three things to always keep in mind…Faith, Resilience, and humor…because weeping may endure for a season but JOY is coming soon. So don’t forget the power of laughter…

My sister gifted me the book START. by Jon Acuff. It was the push that I needed to just start my book and tell our stories that would encourage women to do the same. Start. encourages us to escape “average” and do work that matters…The author dares us to punch fear in the face and strive to go from average to awesome!
