We recently connected with Heather Elizabeth Neary and have shared our conversation below.

Heather Elizabeth, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

What comes to heart when I meditate on this question is two-fold. I feel that I was gifted with resilience by my blood Ancestors, especially my Feminine Ancestors, who endured incredible hardships by way of being women navigating a toxic Patriarchal culture in which laws and cultural norms dehumanized them in a multitude of ways. My Maternal Grandmother, Dorothy Elizabeth, is a huge inspiration to me as she was the sole provider for her family when her Father died very young and then went on to become a Wave in WWII. The Waves are the first Female branch of the U.S. Military. She then acquired her teaching degree after becoming a mother to my mother. I feel her love and support from the Spirit realm, as I do with many of my Bright and Shiny blood and Spiritual Ancestors.

I also feel my resilience comes from an embodied knowing of my purpose to serve the EVOLution of consciousness that humanity is in the midst of navigating. Within the challenges of an on-going healing journey lie the precious jewels of mystical experiences which reinforce time and time again to stay the course of living my truth, no matter how difficult the path may be.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I AM a life-long explorer of the greater purpose and meaning of existence. Since I was a young girl, I have been a champion for unity in diversity consciousness, which IS the next EVOLutionary step for humanity… I have a background as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have worked in a variety of settings including hospice, long-term care facilities for aging adults and adults with special needs, the admissions department of a psychiatric hospital, and as a therapist in a psychiatric office.

In 2006, a challenging life transition catapulted me into my own evolutionary leap in consciousness. I have come to recognize this as an experience of a ‘dark night of the Soul’ in which I was faced with the choice to succumb to toxic intergenerational patterns or EMBRACE the COURAGE to ‘change the things I could’ and HEAL…

I chose the harder road of deep inner HEALING (which continues on to this day) and haven’t looked back since! Through my AWAKENING journey, I have been initiated in to the ancient healing arts of shamanism, Reiki energy medicine, and the life-changing experience of attending Nine Gates Mystery School. A phenomenal yearning to reunite with my Maya spiritual lineage occurred in early 2012, creating a profound pathway to align with the transformational ‘map of synchronicity’ called the 13 Moon Dreamspell, whose Founder, Jose’ Arguelles, was the organizer of the first worldwide meditation for peace known as the Harmonic Convergence of 1987. As the urgent need for humanity to EMBODY our SPIRITUAL nature has expanded over the years, I heeded the call to unite my background as a Social Worker with the spiritual lineages I hold to be of service as a guide and ally for fellow Seekers’ awakening journeys.

A catalyst for my own HEALING journey has been remembering and claiming my own unique expression of the Divine Feminine. The RISE of the FEMININE has become a core weaving throughout my HEALING work and the mission of SHINE. The new paradigm emerging for humanity IS deeply Feminine, beckoning US to listen to our intuition, align with our e-motional intelligence, flow with nature’s rhythms and patterns, choose cooperation over competition, and EMBODY a reverent way of living with ONE another and our Mother Earth.

By listening to the prompting of my Soul, I founded SHINE (Supporting Humanity In Navigating EVOLution) in 2015. Through the facilitation of interSPIRITual WISDOM practices that promote UNITY CONSCIOUSNESS, SHINE serves as a SACRED container for the alchemical process of the personal and planetary TRANSFORMATION at hand. The SHINE journey is designed to provide practical tools through individual healing sessions, mentorship programs, and INTENTIONAL commUNITY BUILDING to discover one’s innate truth through cultivating meaning and connection-activating one’s capacity to live an authentic and joyful life in service to all sentient beings.

The SHINE journey has been created to provide you tools so you can TRANSFORM your life and experience the incredible possibilities that are manifesting in our world. As the Founder and Steward of SHINE, I offer both in-person and virtual personal and commUNITY oriented offerings.

The overall INTENTION of these offerings is to SUPPORT YOU IN NAVIGATING THE UNPRECEDENTED (and often challenging) EVOLutionary SHIFTS happening within and around you…As WE feel GROUNDED, SUPPORTED, EMPOWERED, and INSPIRED in our own EVOLutionary unfoldment, WE are able to step into our innate gifts of SERVICE in SUPPORTING the Collective SHIFT in CONSCIOUSNESS.

WHOLISTIC counseling is a modality which approaches any challenge in life as an opportunity for healing and awakening rather than a ‘problem’ that needs to be ‘fixed’. From this perspective, the outdated tendency to pathologize and stigmatize are transmuted so that a real and lasting experience of HEALING and TRANSFORMATION can occur.

The foundation of WHOLISTIC counseling is based upon the SPIRITUAL TRUTH that you are innately WHOLE and HOLY, just as you are. There is nothing that you can or cannot ‘do’ to change this. Due to familial, cultural, and societal conditioning, you most likely have received messages, both direct and indirect. which have told you that there is something ‘wrong’ with you if you are experiencing feelings of sadness, anxiety, loneliness, and/or despair. From a WHOLISTIC perspective, any dis-ease of mind/body/e-motions and/or perceived disconnection from the SPIRITUAL realm is seen as information to facilitate HEALING of trauma experienced within the realms of your personal, intergenerational, and multidimensional aspects of being.

As the entire global family continues to navigate what can be felt as a ‘Dark Night’, it is only natural to be facing personal and intergenerational shadows-aspects of the self which have remained ‘hidden’ due to fear, shame, guilt, and/or a sense of unworthiness of love and acceptance…From the WHOLISTIC perspective, this is a necessary EVOLutionary process that the entire family of humanity is going through in order to EVOLve our consciousness to a place in which WE can embody a LOVING, INCLUSIVE, COMPASSIONATE, PEACEFUL, and COLLABORATIVE reality for ourselves and the generations to come…

This journey of CONSCIOUS EVOLution IS taking place within each of us!

Throughout the last 9 years, the SHINE container has been EVOLving along with humanity thus, new offerings are necessary for each cycle that WE are moving through as a family of humanity. SHINE is launching a new 13 week program on August 22nd. This course is offering practical and empowering inter spiritual skills focused upon being a PEACEFUL PRESENCE for ourselves, families, and communities as WE move through the Presidential election season here in the U.S.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I feel the most impactful skills are building my INTUITIVE KNOWING, learning to TRUST it, and having the COURAGE to share it.

If you are here on the planet now, YOU have a key role to play in the HEALING and TRANSFORMATION of humanity’s consciousness. You are a SACRED thread within the tapestry of the human family. Please don’t leave this life without singing the unique song of your Soul that only YOU can sing. DEVOTE your time to remembering who you really are and why you are here. You matter!

The Universe is consistently offering you ‘breadcrumbs’ of synchronicity to nudge you in the direction of your remembering the song of your Soul. Be still enough to listen. Spend time with Mother Nature to receive her medicine teachings. Don’t second guess the intuitive messages beckoning you to experience the MAGIC of the Great Mystery. Seek opportunities to be in BELOVED CommUNITY. CHOOSE LOVE. CHOOSE PEACE. CHOOSE UNITY IN DIVERSITY.
