We were lucky to catch up with Heather Rowe recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Heather, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
My purpose revealed itself through experience rather than intention. I found it in the quiet moments—listening to clients share insecurities they had carried for years, witnessing the emotional shift that happens when someone finally feels confident in their skin. Those moments showed me that this work was never just about skincare; it was about transformation.
Esthetics gave me the space to merge science, care, and intuition in a way that felt deeply aligned. I recognized that my gift was not only in delivering results, but in creating an elevated, restorative environment where people feel seen, understood, and valued. For many of my clients, this was the first time their concerns were approached with both expertise and compassion.
My purpose became clear when I understood that I was meant to build more than a business—I was meant to cultivate an experience. One rooted in trust, intention, and confidence. Every treatment, every detail, is designed to remind my clients that they deserve to be cared for with excellence and grace. That realization continues to guide my work and my vision forward.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
At the core of what I do is creating elevated skincare experiences that merge results, education, and restoration. I am the founder of SKYYN Aesthetics, a luxury skincare studio rooted in corrective treatments and intentional care. My work focuses on addressing skin concerns such as hyperpigmentation, barrier dysfunction, and overall skin health, while also prioritizing the emotional experience that comes with being truly cared for.
What makes my work especially meaningful is the connection I build with my clients. I am deeply passionate about creating a space where people feel seen, heard, and confident—not just after a treatment, but long after they leave. Every service is curated with intention, from the techniques I use to the environment I create. I believe luxury is not just how something looks, but how it makes you feel, and I strive to deliver that level of care consistently.
Professionally, I am focused on continuing to grow my brand through education-driven services, elevated client experiences, and community-centered offerings. I am expanding beyond traditional treatments by hosting wellness events that blend skincare, self-care, and connection, allowing clients to experience the brand in a more immersive way. I am also developing curated retail offerings and service enhancements designed to support long-term skin health and lifestyle alignment.
Ultimately, my brand is about more than skincare—it’s about confidence, trust, and refinement. I want people to know that when they engage with my work, they are stepping into a space where excellence and intention meet, and where their care is never rushed or overlooked.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, three qualities have been most impactful in my journey: resilience, intentional education, and self-trust.
Resilience taught me how to remain steady through uncertainty. Building something meaningful requires patience, and there were moments when growth felt slow or unseen. Learning how to stay committed, even when results weren’t immediate, allowed me to move forward with clarity rather than fear. For those early in their journey, my advice is to normalize the process. Growth is rarely linear—consistency and perseverance will always outlast motivation.
Intentional education has been equally transformative. I made it a priority to understand not only my craft, but the science behind it. Investing in continued learning elevated both my confidence and my results, and it allowed me to serve my clients with integrity. For those starting out, focus on mastering your foundation before chasing trends. Knowledge compounds, and excellence is built through depth, not shortcuts.
Finally, self-trust has been essential. Learning to honor my intuition, set boundaries, and stand firmly in my vision changed the trajectory of my business. There is power in knowing when to listen to advice and when to lead with your own discernment. My advice is to give yourself permission to grow into your voice. Confidence develops through experience, and trusting yourself is a skill that strengthens with use.
Ultimately, success is not about moving quickly—it’s about moving with intention. When you commit to growth, education, and self-belief, everything else begins to align.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Throughout my journey, the most impactful support has come from a combination of mentorship, community, and lived experience. I’ve been fortunate to learn from mentors and educators within the esthetics and entrepreneurial space who were generous with their knowledge and honest about the realities of building a business. Their guidance helped me sharpen my technical skills, strengthen my business acumen, and approach growth with intention rather than haste.
Equally important has been the support of my clients and community. The trust they placed in me pushed me to continuously elevate my standards and deepen my expertise. Every challenge became an opportunity to refine my craft, improve my systems, and lead with greater confidence. Their feedback—spoken and unspoken—has been one of my greatest teachers.
Lastly, I’ve learned a great deal from navigating challenges independently. Experience has a way of teaching lessons that no course or conversation can replace. Learning to assess situations, make informed decisions, and take responsibility for outcomes has been essential to my development. Success, for me, has been built through a balance of guidance, community, and self-reliance—and each has played a meaningful role in shaping the professional I am today.
