Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Heaven Keams. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Heaven, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

I stopped believing in fear
I realized life is all about illusions and choosing what you want to believe in
So I decided “why not believe in the positive side of life “
As soon as I changed my thinking habits is when my confidence built up and my motivation levels were off the charts
Also I spent my entire childhood being afraid & doubtful towards everything
I got tired of it and really wanted to change my life

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I created the thought of “Inn Heaven”
When I was 13 years old . I even almost lost my way of art since I’ve been an artist as a child
When I was 16 I knew I was meant to be an artist that art is my way of communicating and expressing myself
Inn Heaven has now been in the works for 6 years . I know sew bags , clothes , I paint a lot more then I did before , I now resell items I find & put them at an affordable price so people have the ability to afford my work especially in this economy
I continue to work on my brand because I see the vision of me becoming an impactful artist
I don’t want fame or money I just want to impact lives in my community & then I’ll get to the rest of the world
I do know that “Inn Heaven” will be successful one day & I’ll try everyday until my brand is accomplished

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The first skill I applied at a very young age is not to rely on anyone for your success. Your success comes from you and how much you want to be successful I say this because you must be very careful where your support system is carried Your support systems will carry you a long way on this journey
The second skill of obtained is observation. You must be very observant to yourself & others , the state the world is in . All of these things can affect your business & your reputation as a growing artist . You must know your customer before they even walk in the door .

Which leads to my third skill . Communication , you must learn how to present yourself with all these different kinds of people
Connection is the key to being an artist
Connecting with others so you can understand them
As artists we don’t just sell paintings , earrings , clothes etc. We offer understanding, insight , empathy , emotional connection with our pieces & it’s very important to learn this at a young age it will carry you miles within your own journey 🙂

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I am always looking for people to collaborate with ! I’ve done custom pieces fore music artists who are hundreds of miles away from me
The kind of people I look for to collaborate with had a lot to do with who wants to impact our community
The people who want to impact the world in general
My main goal is connecting with people all over the world so we can all bring positivity & empathy to this generation. It’s something that is missing nowadays and I know there is more we can do about it
I’m open to any source of collaboration from all kinds of artists
As long as we’re working for something greater then us that’s what I like
