Meet Henri Mossiat

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Henri Mossiat. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Henri, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I think this is such an underrated question. Confidence is not innate, in fact, it’s simple to build confidence within yourself. All one needs is to remember fear doesn’t exist unless we choose for it to exist. Fear- the myth we created to prevent us from change. Simply remember you can change who you are at any second. Think about how you brush by thousands of faces a day all of whom don’t know anything about you. Remember that every moment you can reinvent yourself and with that confidence will come.

Who cares what others think!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My name is Henri Moss, an actor, writer, and buisness owner working to blend the fantasies of imagination with the unique perspectives of global culture.

I am a NOMAD, hence the company name- which focuses on telling stories from people around the world who wouldn’t fit the Hollywood mold.

To know me, you have to know three words. Creativity, discipline, and curiosity. My big three pillars of life are acting, writing, and traveling.

Acting is my passion, writing is my expression, and travel is for my growth. All three are vital towards my own persona.

My writing extends from award placing screenplays, poetry collections, short form fiction, and philosophy academia books. My acting is the bone behind it all, providing me the necessary skills to develop meaningful characters.

Within the next 5 years I will be a household name.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The first is smiling at failure. In our industry you hear no a lot, and I mean a lot. Recognizing it’s not personal and that each no is actually a learning experience helped me keep going when the clouds were muggy.

Next, I think every artists needs a bit of buisness acumen to navigate the chutes and ladders of the entertainment world. Knowing when to say yes to a project, person, or idea and when to say “no” is often the difference between climbing forward and falling back.

Being open minded is without a question the best advice I can give. When I go up for roles, or have meetings for development projects, I go in with no expectations. Not only does this help me filter out any preconceived notions I may have, it expands my mind with other peoples perspectives; perspectives that help me grow.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Always! So for those looking for collaboration it comes to two separate columns- my buisness and my brand.

My buisness: Any artists with a unique story? Any writers, animators, film crew, and producers looking to aid in building a community based on positive change and independent thought then NOMAD might be the place to go. At NOMAD we have three missions.

1. Give back to communities through charitable donations
2. Reinvent Hollywood through community filmmakers and independent ideas (no more middlemen)
3. Spotlight marginalized communities around the globe and give them a chance in the spotlight

If any of these sound interesting to you then email me at : [email protected]

My Brand: This is my personal self. The actor & writer not the buisness owner. You can view my samples at: Henri-moss.com & if anything sparks some thought in you, then email me at [email protected]. I would love to act in your next project and give you script coverage.
