Meet Henry Bowick III

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Henry Bowick III. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Henry below.

Hi Henry , so excited to have you with us today, particularly to get your insight on a topic that comes up constantly in the community – overcoming creativity blocks. Any thoughts you can share with us?

Firstly overcoming anything is a challenge. I’ve been consistently writing and perfecting my craft every day and face days where I’m not sure which way to go. These are the times I dig into my purpose, the things I went through and continually go through. Thinking about these times, bring motivation and help me refocus on my purpose which ultimately exclude writers block. It’s important to always have self motivation and self awareness in times where you need to get past an obstacle such as writers block.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Im originally from Fort Pierce, Fl. I moved to Atlanta, Ga in 2014 for a better life. I am a recording artist, writer, and performer. My artist name is RiaaTheKidd, a name that fit my adolescence at the time. My Mother is the center of my purpose because she seen what I couldn’t in terms of a having a successful future in the poverty driven environment I was introduced to. She helped me understand the meaning of doing what you have to do to survive. Also I thank her for placing God in the center of everything so I followed those footsteps throughout my entire life. I began to understand I was musically inclined at a very young age. In 5th grade I was lead singer and performer in chorus. Seeing myself on stage and the reaction of the audience then, left an impact on what I was destined for.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I would highly suggest getting a strong relationship with God. I would also suggest having self motivation because it’s difficult in the world we live in today to not feel as if you are off track or behind. The last thing I really feel is impatient is the understanding of patience. Nothing happens over night, as much as that is indeed a cliche it’s true. Success is what you make it, and what you see willing to work for. I would advice anyone who sees a gift inside of them to chase their purpose every day and every chance because regret is something only we can control.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I would love to collaborate and share experiences with artists. It’s difficult to find individuals who are serious about music, in the way that I always have been. It’s not a hobby, it’s my understanding of life. Music is my everything and all my life I seen nothing more that fit my purpose. God allows you to see what you are here for and it’s up to you to fulfill that purpose. I would love a team that is dedicated as I am, so that we are able to push each other to the dreams that are held within us.
