Meet Henry Estrada

Hi Henry, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

I grew up in a single mother household where means were limited! But with a strong resilient mother who always found a way to provide even it it meant she went without.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Covid was rough times and I was tired of working for others in a specialty field of caulking and waterproofing with this feeling that I deserved more. I was tired of putting off on my skills cause fear of failure. So my friend and long time co worker Paco Martinez made the move to do better for ourselves and families.

I have coached youth Baseball and football for many years with my oldest kids who are now 22, 20, and 18. Once they were in High shcool I retired from coaching and enjoyed being a parent on the bleachers.
My wife and I also have younger kids. My daughter Blue Valentine Estrada is 9 and Suny Estrada is 5. My daughter Blue has been very active in boxing since she was 5 and flag football since 6. One season her flag team did not have a coach so my wife came to me and asked if I would fill in and I said no way I love being a parent and I meant it. Well she made me do it anyways! And here we are today SD mean girls has 4 teams now HS division, 14u, 12, and a 9u. We are a officially 5013c non profit and I coach High shcool flag football at Bonita vista high school

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

A strong wife! Lol! I always knew I was capable of more even as a young man, but I allowed doubt and fear to limit my ambitions. So start young and have no fear of failure and if you fail get up and keep at it!

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Yes with SD Mean Girls we are looking for investors to help grow this sport for the young ladies in our program. Flag football is a official 2028 Olympics sport, a collegiate sport and soon to be a professional sport. Our goal is to get these young ladies to college on scholarship. We occur field cost, insurance, travel, hotel, flights, and uniforms and equipment cost. Raising monies can be a challenge at times.
