Meet Hetal Mehta

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Hetal Mehta. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Hetal below.

Hi Hetal, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
First of all , the fact that you base your self esteem on transient things like beauty , people’s opinions and success is concerning. Self esteem should be built from the inside and needs to be as hard as a rock unyielding to the change outside. In my opinion , self esteem is the seed of your character and your life. If that is not solid enough , you are in for a ride. I will tell you that life will take you through a roller coster of successes and failures , good and bad times. People will come and go , but the only thing that will help you throughout is your self confidence and self esteem.

Seven simple rules:

1-Be intelligent. Learn as much as you can.
2-Read about a lot of different topics and try to be an expert at few. Try to apply what you have learnt.
3-Find out what you are good at and focus on those abilities and make them sharp.
4-Forgive yourself for your mistakes. Practice till you are satisfied.
5-Talk to people and try to look at things from their angle.
6-Be friends with people who really care about you, who listen to you and who guide you in a positive way.
7-Do what you love and be the best in it.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Most important qualities you use daily.

A- Think about your skill set
Try to create a mental list that ranks or categorizes them based on your comfort or skill level. As you build your list, consider:

1-Areas where you succeed
2-Areas where you need improvement
3-Potential causes of the gaps between success and improvement
4-Skills you use daily
5-Skills you use rarely

B-Choose a skill like
1-Communication
2-Computers
3-Mediation
4-Mentoring or coaching
5-Networking
6-Presenting or public speaking
7-Technical duties
8-Time management

C-Discuss why you want to improve
Discuss what steps you’re currently taking or immediate plans you have for the future to develop your skill. Try to connect your desire to build this skill with how it would help you better succeed in the new position.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
I will like to say my parents taught me about honesty. That I should always be honest and never to keep any secret from them.

They taught me about cleanliness, to also do my things needly and in an organised manner. And I should not cheat people I should love and respect people no matter their differences.

To also be God fearing person, who should love and obey God. These few things I like to grow up my children with such habits so that they too can pass it on to their own children too.
