We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Holly Eaton. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Holly below.
Hi Holly, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
When I first started sharing my recipes and homemaking tips online, I constantly questioned myself. Imposter syndrome crept in more often than I’d like to admit, whispering doubts about my abilities and worth. Who was I to tell anyone how to cook or inspire others to gather at the dinner table? But over time, I learned to treat those doubts like an old, unwelcome friend—acknowledging their presence but not letting them take the wheel.
What really helped me was focusing on why I started in the first place: to share a little joy and comfort through food and homemaking. I stopped aiming for “perfect” and leaned into being real and relatable, remembering that my journey, my stories, and even my mistakes are what make my content uniquely me. I realized I don’t have to be an expert to make a difference; I just have to be myself.
Now, when that little voice of doubt pops up, I remind myself that showing up as I am is what truly matters. I don’t have to be an expert to add value; I just have to be myself. We’re all learning, and we’re all in this together. Connecting with my audience as people, not critics, has been the best part of this journey, and I feel so grateful for it every day.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m Holly Eaton, though most of my community knows me as Holly B. My journey into food and lifestyle content creation began with a simple love for creating a warm home and gathering loved ones around the table. After many years as a homemaker, I started sharing recipes and homemaking tips online, and from there, an incredible community grew—one that I truly cherish and love connecting with. For me, this work is about so much more than recipes; it’s about inspiring others to find joy in everyday moments and creating meaningful gatherings that bring families closer.
What makes this journey so special is the way food connects us. I love how a recipe can feel like a shared memory or spark a little moment of happiness. My focus is on family-friendly dishes that are simple to make yet full of love and flavor because I believe the best memories happen around the dinner table.
Recently, I launched my website—a true labor of love—and released my first cookbook, *From Scratch and Heart: Recipes Rooted in Tradition and Love*. It’s filled with recipes inspired by my family and traditions, and my hope is that these recipes become part of other families’ stories too. I’m also working on a range of new projects that I can’t wait to share! From seasonal recipes to fresh ideas for bringing people together, there’s so much on the horizon. It’s an incredible journey, and I feel so grateful to share it with such a wonderful community!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, I’d say the three qualities that have most impacted my journey are resilience, a willingness to learn, and authenticity.
Resilience was essential because starting something new and putting yourself out there isn’t always easy. There were definitely moments of doubt, but staying focused on why I started—and finding ways to push through tough days—helped me keep going. My advice to others is to take things one step at a time, remembering that every setback is part of the process. Let your purpose keep you moving forward, especially when the path gets tough.
A willingness to learn has also been key. When I started, I didn’t know much about content creation, community building, or even running a business! But embracing the learning process has been one of the most fulfilling parts of this journey. My advice is to dive into learning with curiosity and openness, especially when stepping into new territory. Seek out resources, ask questions, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes—growth happens when we’re open to learning.
Finally, authenticity is at the heart of everything I do. It’s easy to feel the pressure to present a “perfect” version of ourselves, especially in a public space. But I’ve found that the more real I am with my audience, the stronger and more meaningful our connection becomes. My advice here is simple: stay true to who you are and share the parts of your story that feel genuine to you. People connect with realness, and leading with your authentic self helps you build a lasting community that values you for who you are.
For anyone early in their journey, remember that it’s about progress, not perfection. Stay open, be true to yourself, and keep learning as you go. Everything you’re learning will build a foundation for where you’re headed, and that’s part of the magic of the process.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Absolutely! I’m always open to partnering with brands and individuals who share my passion for bringing joy, creativity, and connection into people’s lives. I’m especially excited to collaborate with folks in the food, home, and lifestyle spaces—brands that value quality, authenticity, and creativity in ways that genuinely serve and inspire people.
I love working with brands that feel like a natural extension of my own work—whether that’s through developing recipes, sharing home and lifestyle tips, or creating products that help make life a little cozier and more meaningful. I’m also passionate about partnering on projects that bring families and friends together, whether that’s over a shared meal, a fun home project, or a unique experience.
If this resonates with you and you’re interested in collaborating, I’d love to hear from you! You can connect with me through my website’s contact form or reach out directly via email. Let’s create something wonderful together!
