We were lucky to catch up with Holy-Snaaps Images recently and have shared our conversation below.
Holy-Snaaps Images, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
Holy-Snaaps Images was created in Michigan in 2019. The state is surrounded by scenic views which allowed my camera to capture so many stunning photos of the outdoors.
In 2023, I moved to Texas and it was a little challenging to capture scenic photos that I was used to and felt discouraged. To keep my creativity alive, I had to think outside the box and find new ways to capture nature imagery. I researched and visited nearby areas, and unique parks that offer scenic views. I had to push myself venturing out in a new environment and accept the challenge to continue to capture outdoor beauty.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a photographer and founder of Holy-Snaaps Images established in 2019. I have a profound love for nature and discovered a passion for photography as a means to preserve and share awe-inspiring moments encountered outdoors. Each of my photographs reflect the depth of nature’s beauty. Through my imagery, I inspire to show my appreciation for nature which lead to developing a platform dedicated to showcase my work.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three qualities for photography is, passion, creativity and patience. As a photographer who enjoys capturing the outdoors, my advice to anyone wanting to do the same is to have passion for nature- it develops a keen eye for what you want to capture. Creativity- you may have to think outside the box when you can’t capture an image the way you intended. Or like myself you may find yourself in a situation where you live someplace that does not offer a ton of scenic views, so finding creative locations to keep the creativity alive is important. And last patience-sometimes the outdoors is not my side to take photos and need patience for the right weather. Also when trying to take photos outdoors , It requires patience to capture the perfect image. Like myself you may experience people walking past while trying to photograph which can be frustrating. But if you possess these three qualities, you can push through and capture any amazing photos.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
