Meet Ibrahim Salami

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ibrahim Salami a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Ibrahim, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I got to be confident from being obsessed with trying new stuff and failing repeatedly over time which helped me perfect my craft over time and build confidence in my craft.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My name is Olorunjuwonlo and it’s where I coined my brand name The Juwonlo, obsessed with telling my story in a rather unique way incorporating unique perspective and a new set of eyes seeing the world in a different light.
I work as a Creative Strategist who works with brands to help them create content that converts into goal driven results, I’ve got passion for landscape and architectural photography and I love to travel.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Perseverance was a skill I had to hold tight in my journey which made me stay on track
Communication and social skills are highly needed
Get obsessed with what you do

On this journey, you’d encounter alot of No’s and Rejections…Grow a tough skin

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?

The Subtle Art of Not Giving A Fuck:
A solid lesson from this book really is that no one really cares about you so chase your dreams shamelessly
