Meet Iliana Cardamone

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Iliana Cardamone. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Iliana below.

Iliana, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Finding my purpose initially took some time, but my main goal always has and always will be making people feel good about themselves. When a client comes to see me its a true blessing to be able to connect with them, hear their story then turn that into a piece of art they will carry with them for the rest of their life. The significance of my work to each individual client drives me to be the best version of myself day in and out.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I have been in the beauty industry for about 10 years now. I have worked almost every job you can have in this career, finally making my way into the permanent make up world is where my journey really began. After almost 5 years of doing PMU I took a chance at fine line tattooing and that’s where my career really took off. I never thought I could achieve that level of tattooing in a million years yet it came so easy to me. I would never call myself an artist in the sense of drawing but I always have been a creative person so being able to use that creativity everyday to do special pieces for people to have on themselves forever has been such an amazing experience. I became very busy with being a full time artist in studio as well as doing events and teaching other aspiring artists. My life completely took off in a way that I never thought it could. I will forever be grateful I took a chance on myself.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three things I would say were the most impactful in my journey would be investing in your education, promoting yourself and connecting with every person you meet. If I could give any advice to anyone early in their journey it would be to bet on yourself and always lead with confidence.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

It would be an honor to work with any tattoo product company regardless of the size or popularity. They would be able to connect with me through my Instagram @illy.izora
