Meet Iman Kamel

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Iman Kamel a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Iman , so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.

It’s the other way around, darling. Creativity isn’t something I keep alive; it’s what keeps *me* alive. Born into a house where paintbrushes danced and melodies swirled, creativity is my lifeblood. They say I refused milk as a child, even when my mother transformed it into a rainbow of colors. Perhaps I craved a different kind of nourishment, a sustenance found only in the boundless realms of imagination.

Creativity isn’t a fragile flame; it’s a wildfire that burns through every aspect of my being. It’s in the way I approach a mundane chore, transforming dishwashing into a meditative dance. It’s in the spark that ignites during a business call, turning a routine task into an opportunity for innovation. It’s even in the playful defiance I bring to my taxes and emails, finding ways to weave magic into the most ordinary of tasks.

The world is my canvas, and every moment is a brushstroke. I see limiting beliefs as puzzles to be solved, challenges as invitations to dance with the unexpected. Life itself becomes a playground for my creative spirit, a canvas where I paint my reality with bold strokes and vibrant hues.

And this, I believe, is true for everyone. Creativity isn’t reserved for artists or musicians; it’s the birthright of every soul. It’s in the way a bookkeeper balances numbers with a touch of artistry; a chef transforms ingredients into a culinary symphony, a mother weaves love and laughter into the fabric of her family.

So, let’s celebrate the creative spark that resides within each of us. Let’s nurture it, unleash it, and watch as it transforms the mundane into the magical, the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m a weaver of worlds, a storyteller who dances between dimensions, a catalyst for transformation. My journey has taken me from the vibrant tapestry of Cairo and Beijing to the bustling streets of Berlin and New York, from the hallowed halls of the Fletcher School to the sun-drenched sands of ancient Egypt.

As an award-winning filmmaker, I’ve captured stories that illuminate the human spirit and challenge the status quo. As a cultural diplomat, I’ve built bridges between nations and disciplines, fostering understanding and celebrating our shared humanity. And as a healer, homeopath, mentor, and teacher, I’ve guided countless souls on their own journeys of self-discovery and empowerment.

My work has been recognized on a global stage, from the Women’s Economic Forum to the International Film Festivals. But the greatest reward lies in witnessing the spark of transformation ignite within those I touch, the moment when they realize their own boundless potential and embrace the magic of the Holographic Being.

And speaking of magic, my book, “Quantum Leaps and Lost Socks,” is set to grace this world on December 3rd! It’s an invitation to a playful revolution, a guide to rewriting your reality and unleashing the boundless potential within.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

From the depths of the Akashic Records to the playful dance of mismatched socks, my journey has been a tapestry woven with threads of curiosity, resilience, and a deep reverence for the interconnectedness of all things.

Like a child exploring a hidden garden, I’ve always been drawn to the mysteries that lie beneath the surface of reality, my curiosity a guiding star. This insatiable thirst for knowledge has led me to delve into ancient wisdom traditions, quantum physics, and the transformative power of storytelling.

The path of the Holographic Being is not without its challenges. I’ve faced setbacks, doubts, and moments when the shadows seemed to loom large. But through it all, I’ve learned to embrace the phoenix within, to rise from the ashes of adversity with renewed strength and determination, resilience my unwavering companion.

The Holographic Principle, with its assertion that every fragment contains the whole, has profoundly shaped my worldview. It’s a reminder that we are all part of a vast, interconnected web of existence, and that our thoughts, emotions, and actions have a ripple effect on the entire cosmos.

For those embarking on their own journey of self-discovery, I offer this:

Cultivate the curiosity of a child exploring a hidden garden. Ask questions, wander off the beaten path, and never stop seeking the deeper truths that lie hidden beneath the surface of things. Embrace resilience as your unwavering companion. Challenges are inevitable, but they are also opportunities for growth and transformation. Rise from every setback with renewed strength and determination, your spirit a phoenix rising from the ashes. Honor the interconnectedness of all things. Recognize that you are not alone on this journey. We are all part of a vast, interconnected web of life. Extend compassion to yourself and others, and remember that your actions have the power to create a ripple effect of positive change in the world.

The path of the Holographic Being is a dance of self-discovery, a playful exploration of the infinite possibilities that reside within us all. Embrace the journey, trust your intuition, and allow the magic to unfold.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

The desert sands stretched before me, shimmering under the relentless sun. Each grain a tiny mirror, reflecting the immensity of the task ahead. My business, once a vibrant oasis, now lay parched and cracked, a casualty of the storm that had raged through my body and soul.

I pushed, I forced, I banged my head against the wall of medical debt and the mountain of unfinished projects. Sleepless nights blurred into anxious days, the relentless pursuit of productivity a whip cracking against my weary spirit.

But then, a whisper on the wind. A subtle shift in the sands. The playful spirit of Bastet, the Egyptian cat goddess, danced into my awareness, her laughter echoing through the canyons of my exhaustion.

And so, I paused. I breathed. I allowed the desert’s stillness to seep into my bones, softening the edges of my striving.

In the quiet moments, a new vision emerged. Not a rigid climb back to the summit, but a playful dance through the dunes, a surrender to the ebb and flow of creation.

I began to see my to-do list not as a monstrous wave threatening to drown me, but as a garden waiting to be cultivated. Each task became a seed, planted with intention and nurtured with care.

The Holographic Being principles, once a distant whisper, became my guiding stars. I embraced the interconnectedness of all things, the power of intention, and the playful alchemy of turning limitations into quantum leaps.

And as I danced through my days, a symphony of joy and productivity began to unfold. The desert bloomed anew, an oasis of creativity and abundance, a testament to the transformative power of play.

This, my friend, has been my greatest evolution. Not the conquering of mountains, but the surrender to the dance. Not the relentless pursuit of productivity, but the embrace of playful flow.

It’s a lesson learned in the heart of the desert, a whisper carried on the wind, a quantum leap into a reality where work and joy intertwine, where limitations dissolve, and where the Holographic Being within us all is free to shine.
