We were lucky to catch up with Imunique Gibson recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Imunique , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
My personal confidence and self esteem comes from within. It comes from my fiancé, my family, my friends, and everyone who believes in me.
As far as my business confidence and self esteem I have to give credit to my fiancé. She pushed me to start the business. Of course family and friends were along for the journey but my fiancé believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. I’m self taught but with the help of research, YouTube, the willingness to learn, and trail and error sky is the limit for me.
With the love and support from my family, and those who are rooting for me I will never have low self esteem or low confidence. Everyone should know and believe that they can do anything if they really put their mind to it and most importantly BELIEVE in themselves.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Well let’s see what can I say about myself…I’m a soon to be wife with two boys ( oldest is 7, youngest is 3 weeks). I have always been surrounded by love, was taught to work hard, and to treat others how I would want to be treated. I’m all about good vibes and good energy. I have a regular 9-5 and a business called All Thingz Unique.
My business specializes in personalized/customized products ranging from keychains to specialized alcohol bottles. You can find me on Instagram and Tik Tok: all_thingz_unique. Currently we are closed due to me just having a baby BUT be sure to hit the follow button on both platforms because we will be back up and running with a new logo, a welcome back give away, and a new add on to the all thingz brand. I’m very excited for the new add ons and can’t wait to share them with everyone.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I think some impactful qualities and skills would be being determined and disciplined as far as not quitting when times get hard. Being self taught is a skill on its own, I had to watch a lot of videos still til this day.
Some advice would be, be open minded to pretty much anything because you’ll never know until you try. Take that leap of faith it’s so worth it. You have to have a great support system because life is hard and sometimes mentally draining. Practice and make time for your craft/business and know success does not come overnight. Lastly have fun and love whatever it is that you do.
Do you think it’s better to go all in on our strengths or to try to be more well-rounded by investing effort on improving areas you aren’t as strong in?
I believe we should do a little bit of both. You should go all in on your strengths because that will get your foot in the door to anything you want to do in life. You should also invest effort into improving in your areas of weakness because there’s ALWAYS room to grow. You should want to be well rounded and diverse because who wants to be one dimensional? Why be comfortable with being basic? And why would you only want one good thing to say about yourself when you can have multiple good things to say.
My business is called All Thingz Unique for a reason. I don’t just specialize in one product I specialize in many. Respectfully I see other businesses specializing in just customized cups, or just customized bottles but me I do cups, bottles, keychains, and more and I’m adding a few new things. Multiple talents and skills mean multiple sources of income and it broadens my chances of bringing in new customers who are looking for more than just cups and bottles.
