Meet Indya Wright

We recently connected with Indya Wright and have shared our conversation below.

Indya, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
My optimism comes from my previous failures. In the aftermath, I always learned from it and came back stronger. Every previous disappointment leveled me up. Those moments of doubt, are what showed me that I always win in the end. I’m optimistic because I am a perpetual winner. My strength lies in knowing that I can not lose, I learn.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am the Founder of Artiste House. An award-winning creative firm known best for our multicultural communications, media relations and production. What is more special about my brand is we prioritize undeserved communities and bring awareness to deserving projects and initiatives that move the culture forward. There are a lot of new and exciting developments at Artiste House. We are expanding the industries we serve and are pursuing sports and space industry clients. We are also currently expanding our IP with a brand that has been a few years in the making, Extra Mumbo. It will serve to highlight the beauty of Washington DC’s rich urban culture.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three of my skills that were the most impactful in my journey are my storytelling, creativity and love of learning. I love learning and it helps me expand on my skills and discover more hobbies to love. Those new hobbies I love can be monetized if I want. My advice to people that are early in their journey is to try new things and figure out what you love. It’s okay not to have it figured out. Also, don’t limit yourself. You do not have to remain in a box. Pursue what you enjoy unapologetically.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo hands down played the most important role in my development. The most valuable nugget of wisdom I learned was that we have more control over our destinies than people realize. Many of our experiences are directly impacted by our beliefs and choices. When you understand how powerful your mindset is in your destiny, you safeguard your focus and energy and you spend less time doubting yourself. You learn to focus solely on what you want and not waste energy on what you don’t.

“And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
