We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Infiniti Smith a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Infiniti, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
The year 2017. In this year I lost everything from scholarships to cars to apartments. Everything vanished in the matter of seconds . I remember feeling cursed , questioning both God and my faith . At that time I truly didn’t understand, “why me?”. Little did I know, that very “curse” was going to project me into my blessing .
I left Atlanta that year and headed for my hometown feeling embarrassed and defeated. I had left just the year before with such high hopes for my future .
Upon returning God decided to bless me with a new job , car and opportunities. Even though I still faced new lessons from the father , I was blessed .
As I continued to work , the feeling of incompleteness grew . I knew that I had a higher calling on my life but the feelings of fear and self doubt always seemed to overcome me .
On July 6th 2020 God spoke to me . He didn’t give me a plan , I dIdnt have an epiphany , I heard a quite voice say “JUST DO IT”.
That same day I started my business . I knew NOTHING about this industry. I only knew that I was called for it .
I spent my last $300 to purchase inventory, everyone thought I was crazy but only I could see the vision given .
Shortly after I began selling premade units and doing installs . Almost immediately I knew that it wasn’t for me but I didn’t give up there.
I began seeing wig makers online and I instantly knew “I’m going to become one”. I again , emptied my savings and bought everything I needed to start …. The rest is history .
To answer your question my resilience comes from trusting Gods plan . Looking back I would have never imagined he’d bring me this far .
He’s shown me too many times who he is for me to not trust HIS process !

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
-Perseverance -Patience
-Passion
My biggest piece of advice to any potential or new entrepreneur is to identify your passion FIRST . Often times I see people jump into an industry with a moneymaking mindset . While there is nothing wrong with that , your passion should come first . If you aren’t all in on the project you choose , it won’t work . There’s so much more to being a business owner than a cute logo . It takes long hours of dedication and structure to get to the top . If you aren’t truly passionate about what you’re doing you’ll give up before you even truly start .

Absolutely! We are always looking for new , fresh faces to help us expand our global reach . Our ideal candidate is someone who is a natural behind the camera and genuinely looking to grow . Our preference is also to have someone who has a strong track record ( ie proven social media engagement, large following , professional online presence, previous brand interactions etc).
Ideally we are looking for someone who has already grown their social platforms and can align with our target audience.
