Srinjoy, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
As a fine artist, I cannot help but feel that this profession chose me rather than the other way around. From a tender age, my path has been intertwined with the art world, thanks to my father, a renowned artist himself.

Growing up, I was immersed in the vibrant tapestry of art. I attended art exhibition openings, delved into the lives of artistic masters, and cultivated a keen eye for aesthetics. It was during this formative period that I realized my calling as a professional artist.

My passion propelled me to pursue a Master’s degree at the prestigious Savannah College of Art & Design Atlanta (SCAD Atlanta). Amidst the bustling art scene of Atlanta, I embarked on a journey of exploration and self-discovery.

Inspired by the concept of utopia, I dissected its resurgence in contemporary art. I recognized its potential as a critical tool and a reflective framework. To convey these ideas, I harnessed the vibrant language of Pop Art, aligning it with my vision of utopian modelmaking.

My interests extended beyond utopia, encompassing environmental and ecological themes. I delved into map-making, exploring the intersection of art and geography. Additionally, I was fascinated by post-digital visual culture and glitch aesthetics.

The dichotomy of fragility and strength in human life resonated deeply with me. I saw in digital glitches a metaphor for the ephemeral nature of our existence. in today’s ‘digital’ image-saturated world. By triangulating these diverse interests, I found my artistic voice during my time at SCAD.

To this day, I continue to explore these themes through my work. My paintings and sculptures delve into the complexities of the human condition, inviting viewers to reflect on the delicate balance between strength and vulnerability.

As I navigate my artistic journey, I am grateful for the profound influence of my father and the nurturing environment I was raised in. Art has become more than a profession; it is an integral part of my identity. It is a language that allows me to express my thoughts, emotions, and perspectives on the world around me.

In the end, I believe that destiny and passion played equal roles in shaping my path as an artist. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to pursue my dreams and to share my vision with the world.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
As a leading contemporary fine artist and art entrepreneur, I am blessed to live each day immersed in the transformative power of art. The atelier, where I toil tirelessly from 9 to 6, serves as a sanctuary, a realm where creativity flows unfettered. The act of creation itself is an intoxicating elixir, a constant source of exhilaration and fulfillment.

However, the true pinnacle of my artistic journey lies not solely in the process of creation but in witnessing the profound impact my art has on those who encounter it. When art collectors share their unbridled excitement and joy at seeing my creations grace their personal spaces, it ignites within me a sense of purpose and fulfillment that transcends the boundaries of the canvas.

To behold the transformative effect my art has on their lives, to know that it has the power to elevate their everyday experiences, is the most profound reward an artist could ask for. It is in these moments of connection, where art bridges the gap between the artist and the viewer, that I find the deepest satisfaction and inspiration to continue my artistic odyssey.

In the vibrant heart of Miami during the renowned Art Basel Week in last December 2023, I experienced a career-defining triumph at Context Art Miami. As an artist, it was an honor to showcase my creations for the 3rd consecutive year in this prestigious platform, where collectors and art enthusiasts from around the globe converge.

To my immense joy and gratitude, my exhibition at Context Art Miami 2023 became a resounding success, with every masterpiece on display finding a discerning admirer. The euphoria of a sold-out show is a testament to the transformative power of art and its ability to resonate deeply with audiences.

The sold-out exhibition at Context Art Miami 2023 has not only brought financial success but also an immense sense of validation and inspiration, fueling my desire to continue creating art that evokes emotion and stirs hearts.

As an acclaimed contemporary artist, my art has ascended to the pinnacle of the art world, gracing the same spaces as renowned masters such as Banksy, Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, and Futura.

My artistic journey has taken me across the globe, with exhibitions in prestigious art fairs like LA Art Show, Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary Art Wynwood, Art Expo New York, and Affordable Art Fair New York. More than hundred Renowned galleries in the USA, Europe, and Canada proudly represent my work, including Galerie De Bellefuille, Clarendon Fine Art, The Lemongrove Gallery, Galerie Mensing, Jennifer Balcos Gallery, Onessimo Fine Art, Canfin Gallery, Royal Street Fine Art, Art Leaders Gallery, and many more.

My creations have found homes in the private collections of discerning collectors worldwide, including renowned individuals such as Jesse Itzler, co-founder of Marquis Jet, and his wife Sarah Blakely, founder of Spanx. Recently, I was honored with the prestigious Chitrakar Sanman Art Award, an international accolade that recognizes exceptional artistic achievements.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
As a fine artist, it is crucial to cultivate persistence, consistency, and effective time management. Fine art demands unwavering persistence and commitment. Artists must endure constant setbacks, criticism, and periods of creative stagnation. By developing persistence, they can overcome these challenges and create meaningful work. Consistency is also crucial. Regular practice and adherence to a structured routine foster growth and prevent stagnation. Time management skills are essential for managing multiple projects, balancing deadlines, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

A deep understanding of the art world is vital for fine artists. This involves studying art history, contemporary trends, and the work of established and emerging artists. Attending exhibitions, reading art publications, and engaging with the online art community are all effective ways to expand one’s knowledge. By immersing themselves in the artistic discourse, fine artists can gain inspiration, learn from others, and identify opportunities for growth.

Fine artists should always be open to experimenting with new materials, techniques, and approaches. Innovation fuels artistic growth and allows you to explore uncharted territory. By stepping outside your comfort zone and embracing the unknown, you push yourself creatively and discover new possibilities. Experimentation can lead to groundbreaking ideas, unique perspectives, and distinctive artistic styles that set you apart. It enables you to push boundaries, redefine norms, and create groundbreaking works of art.

Critical thinking skills play a pivotal role in the artistic process. Artists must translate their creative concepts into physical forms of art, requiring them to articulate their ideas, analyze their meanings, and explore alternative interpretations. Through critical thinking, artists refine their artistic vision, make informed decisions about materials and techniques, and communicate their intentions effectively to viewers. By engaging in critical analysis and self-reflection, artists enhance their ability to convey complex ideas and create meaningful artwork.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Over the past year, my urban pop surrealist collection ‘Icon Glamour’ has experienced remarkable growth, becoming the most prominent area of artistic expansion. The captivating fusion of urban aesthetics with surrealist undertones In this collection resonated deeply with art galleries and collectors alike, leading to a sold-out exhibition at the prestigious Art Basel Week Context Art Miami 2023 showcasing the high demand for ‘Icon Glamour’.

The allure of glamour remains inextricably entwined with romanticism in contemporary popular culture. Images from urban settings and popular entertainment evoke a utopian longing, attracting and enchanting viewers with their idealized representations. I reinterpret these iconic visuals through creative remixing, sampling unique visual elements.

The incorporation of digital glitches into these visual aesthetics adds an element of surrealism. These ‘Glitch Aesthetics’ create an enigmatic alchemy of the post-digital age, transcending the figuration of the original into the realm of modernist abstraction. The result is a mesmerizing interplay between the familiar and the uncanny.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the concept of ‘Drip’ carries multiple layers of meaning in contemporary urban culture. It connotes attractiveness and swag, but also evokes the passage of time and the continuation of something from the past. The ‘Drip’ can represent a charm or allure that endures, defying the constraints of time itself, becoming both evergreen and everlasting.

The bold colors, intricate details, and enigmatic symbolism in my ‘Icon Glamour’ collection invite viewers to delve into utopias. The success of Icon Glamour can be attributed to its unique ability to connect with a diverse audience. Art galleries and collectors were drawn to its exceptional craftsmanship. This collection’s vibrant energy and thought-provoking narratives resonated with art enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds, making it a highly sought-after acquisition.

I would also like to introduce my latest collection – The Icon Glamour ‘Quintessential’. This is series of conceptual Pop Surreal portraits of cultural Icons. These show stopper pieces offer multidimensional perspectives that establish a deeper understanding of an Icon’s identity, merged into a single awe-inspiring masterpiece. Bringing together elements of cubism, photorealism and glitch aesthetics I create multifaceted compositions. Combining and overlapping several perspectives in one single composition, the ’Prismatic’ concept has been explored.

Drawing from the traditional concept of the circular ‘Mandalas’, I have created a contemporary pop surreal interpretation which represents the extraordinary universe of these personalities who are worshiped as
Icons. The colorful drips formed by stripes of thick paint rolling down the pictorial surface and falling off the edge frozen in time, although they still look like wet paint – add a distinctive ‘Surreal’ quality to the
sculptural works.
