Meet ipshita roy

We were lucky to catch up with Ipshita Roy recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Ipshita, appreciate you sitting with us today. Maybe we can start with a topic that we care deeply about because it’s something we’ve found really sets folks apart and can make all the difference in whether someone reaches their goals. Self discipline seems to have an outsized impact on how someone’s life plays out and so we’d love to hear about how you developed yours?

I always associate discipline with goals. I am that person who is driven by my achievements, so in order to make my dreams come true and live my best life, I focus on self-discipline. My self-discipline comes from the ability to set realistic goals. This requires a lot of self awareness and knowing where we are at present, so we can set achievable goals.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am a Jazz singer, songwriter, composer and educator. I have been performing and actively since 2009. We are DFW’s only authentic bollywood company that provides high quality professionals for your events established and run by a pure desi

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three things that helped me thrive in my journey are consistency, accepting rejections and the thirst for growth. All these qualities help us to achieve the best of our abilities in every aspect of life. My advice to the people who are starting their journey is that one must learn that consistent efforts always pay off so never stop trying to grow in whatever station of life you are in. Whether its professional or personal life there is always room to grow and sometimes we get rejections along the way. But accepting the rejections and failures help us grow and push us to be our best

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes! My company and I are looking for event planners, wedding planners that serve the Indian diaspora community. We want to know how we can serve this community better and what entertainment needs do they have.
