We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Irina Kabak. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Irina below.
Irina, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
I haven’t been this confident all my life. I was a very self conscious kid and young adult. Looking back I realize that it was coming from being poor and having only mother to raise me. However I was always ambitious, striving for better life. When I moved to USA I assimilated pretty quickly and saw many opportunities here which gave me some confidence to do what I like. In my opinion confidence is directly related to support system as well. If someone believes in you it makes easier to believe in yourself. Only years later I learned to believe in myself regardless of support system. With the help of therapy and constant self reflection I slowly developed self-esteem well enough to live the life I enjoy.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
As a part of self discovery I studied to become an esthetician and got my license in 2010. I opened my own practice in 2014 and continue to develop my brand since then. I love the therapeutic part of my job. Irina Kabak Beauty clients have a chance not only get a beauty service but relax and recharge. I strongly believe that my job helps to elevate stress and anxiety alongside the benefits of services itself.
My focus on natural non invasive treatments are what makes my brand unique. The flexibility of my business also makes it easier to pursue my acting career and gives me more time to spend with my family.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The most impactful qualities in my journey were my desire to work with hands, my genuine interest in beauty industry and my appetite for knowledge. My advice for anyone who is starting a new career is to connect with likeminded individuals, follow top leaders in your industry, develop a community where you are supported and accepted. By doing that you will learn, become more motivated and stay in a loop of current events.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I’m always looking for collaborators in both of my careers. It would be a great idea to connect with photographers and video creators (UGC) and professional film makers to develop projects for promotional purposes of both sides. My ideas are endless and I believe we could help each other to brake through to the next level.
