We were lucky to catch up with Isa Marie recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Isa, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
I developed my confidence and self-esteem through long periods of repetition and self-practice. I knew I always wanted to be the confident and charismatic woman I’ve pictured myself as throughout childhood, and I had to learn that confidence and high self-esteem are dedicated practices that you owe yourself to grow. Luckily, with the information we can obtain through the latest tech, I researched for days on how to be a confident and successful woman. What I learned the most is that telling yourself you are ALREADY confident is what makes you confident. Fake it until you make it, say affirmations every day, walk into every room like you belong there, and keep your head up high always. I don’t do anything that doesn’t align with who I want to be, so when I’m speaking or walk into a networking event, I don’t fidget, put my head down, or do something that doesn’t scream “I’m so confident”. But the more you practice, the more you get better. Confidence and having high self-esteem are skills that anyone can learn, and I’m really grateful for the information out there that’s helped me be confident and successful.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Everyone in my hometown thought of me as the smart, innocent, and quiet girl who’s gonna pursue an amazing university degree and get a high-paying job post-grad. That all went upside down– I dropped out of my first uni, got kicked out by the 2nd, and fell into an intense depression. Ever since I was a kid, I knew I wanted to do great things and take a different route than what I’ve always been told. I knew I wanted to inspire, motivate, and speak to the masses. It was incredibly difficult to navigate this, especially after high school, since I didn’t know what to put my identity in. But like they say, you find yourself when you hit rock bottom, and that’s what had to happen to me. I hit rock bottom and found myself, so after I dropped out of college and moved to a different state to find myself, is when I started learning my passions. I spent so much of my free time learning how to be an amazing UGC creator and create content that truly has an impact in my community. I showed up even when I was cringe, when I had no followers. I kept being resilient through my UGC career, which led me to working with top brands like Amazon, Motion, Buff City Soap, Bumble Dating, Opill, and tons of other amazing brands that trust me for top-notch UGC creatives. A year later, I burned the bridges and decided to go full-time with content creation and UGC, and haven’t looked back. The most important part is that I enjoy the journey, and I’m super grateful to have found my passion. And because of this, I’ve been able to expand and help other dreamers online pursue their passions. I recently launched UGC portfolio audits that I highly recommend readers check out if you’re an aspiring entrepreneur, UGC creator, or an aspiring influencer, because this audit gives you the whole 9 on how to improve your current cadence. I also offer tons of resources under my social media links that have helped tons of creators scale their business. I love what I do, but I also love teaching others how to accomplish their dreams!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The 3 best qualities to have that will impact your journey and success the most are faith, consistency, and resilience. Faith is first because you have to believe in yourself fully to succeed. Without this, there will be lots of obstacles in the way if you have any doubts. You owe it to yourself to have strong faith. Consistency, because if you don’t have the repetition and constant hours put into your craft, then you can’t learn where you’re stumbling and what you’re doing that’s improving your cadence. The more you stay consistent, the better you get. It’s a fact. Growth cannot take place if you’re not consistent. If you show up at your new job every day for 6 months, you’re bound to improve. Resilience, because even when there are slow periods, when you feel like giving up, or when you feel like nothing is working, resilience plays a role in sticking it out even when things can suck. The best entrepreneurs and business owners out there have strong resilience because they come into this knowing that there are going to be times that suck. If you develop these 3 when pursuing your craft, you’re setting yourself up for immense success, and that is where improvement and development come into the picture.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
An ideal client for me is someone who partners with you to grow. Someone who is always real with you and isn’t afraid to give you amazing constructive criticism. They are more than just your client. They root for your success, help you grow in certain areas, and will tell you the truth, even if it hurts. Clients like this are people to cherish, and you can tell that they are successful in everything that they do. They want to see you win and vice versa. Both of you make great team players. They have strong communication, strive for success, remain consistent, and you don’t doubt for a second that they were meant to be in your life. And most importantly, they nurture the relationship with you. When I notice these traits in my clients, it makes me want to go above and beyond for them, providing them with the best service. They are clients you go the extra mile for. I love and appreciate all of my clients so much, they teach me something new every day and are the reason why I’ve made it to this point in my career.
