We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Isha Casagrande. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Isha below.
Isha, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
From a young age, I always felt different. Growing up, I wasn’t the popular kid. I was awkward and had my own unique sense of style that set me apart. Shyness often cloaked my true self, making it difficult to connect with others. My journey into adulthood began with a career in health insurance, a path that seemed stable but didn’t ignite my passion.
Leaving the corporate world behind, I decided to open a women’s clothing boutique. It was a bold move, and while it brought its share of challenges, it also allowed me to express my creativity and love for fashion. However, life has a way of testing our resolve, and after some hard times, I found myself back in the health insurance industry, albeit briefly. During this time, I also began teaching Fashion Camps for girls aged 5-12, planting seeds of confidence and style in young minds.
The pivotal moment came one night at my son’s elementary school fundraiser. As I mingled, I overheard my best friends laughing and telling others, “Can you believe she gave up her job to teach camps?” A statement like that could have crushed me, but instead, it ignited something deep within. In that moment, clarity washed over me. Yes, I thought, I am going to leave my boring desk job to pursue a career that might make less money but fills my soul.
I realized then that my true calling was to change lives by helping others discover their beauty, inside and out. I embraced the fact that I didn’t need to conform to societal expectations or follow a conventional path. My passion lay in inspiring others, creating spaces where confidence could flourish. I accepted that I might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but my mission was to be kind, loving, and authentic.
Looking back on that moment 15 years ago, I feel nothing but gratitude. The comment that was meant to belittle me became the catalyst for a life-changing decision. Today, I am blessed to do what I love, creating, inspiring, and spreading love. I have no regrets about leaving my desk job. The journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been profoundly fulfilling.
I like who I am and the mission I’ve embraced. I enjoy my own company and the work I do. Most importantly, I get to help even one person feel better about themselves each day. This is my calling, and I am grateful for every step that led me here.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back on my journey, I can identify three key qualities and skills that have been most impactful: resilience, creativity, and the ability to connect with others. Each of these elements has played a crucial role in shaping The Social Club Live and helping it thrive.
Resilience: The road to creating The Social Club Live was not without its challenges. There were moments of doubt and setbacks, but my resilience kept me moving forward. Building a business, especially one that aims to empower and connect women globally, requires the ability to bounce back from difficulties and stay committed to the vision. For those early in their journey, I recommend cultivating resilience by embracing challenges as learning opportunities and staying focused on your long-term goals. Surround yourself with supportive individuals who can provide encouragement during tough times.
Creativity: Creativity has been at the heart of The Social Club Live. From designing unique fashion experiences to curating engaging workshops, creativity allows us to stand out and continually offer something fresh and exciting to our members. To develop this skill, I encourage you to step outside of your comfort zone and explore new ideas. Don’t be afraid to take risks and experiment with different approaches. Creativity often flourishes when you’re open to trying new things and thinking outside the box.
Connection: The ability to connect with others on a meaningful level has been indispensable. Building a community like The Social Club Live requires genuine relationships and a deep understanding of our members’ needs and desires. To improve this skill, focus on active listening and empathy. Take the time to understand the people you’re engaging with and build relationships based on trust and mutual respect. Networking and collaboration are also essential – don’t hesitate to reach out to others and seek partnerships that align with your mission.
For those at the beginning of their journey, my advice is to prioritize developing these qualities and skills. Resilience, creativity, and the ability to connect with others will not only help you navigate challenges but also enable you to create something truly impactful and meaningful. Stay true to your vision, be open to learning, and remember that every step of the journey is an opportunity for growth. Most importantly, trust yourself. You know you better than anyone. Treat yourself the way you want to be treated. Celebrate life and you will always find good in all that you do.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I am always looking for enthusiastic individuals to partner or collaborate with. Specifically, I am looking for women who are eager to connect with others around the world, both in person and virtually. I believe in the power of a supportive community, and expanding The Social Club Live to new horizons is a key part of our mission.
I am particularly interested in collaborating with female entrepreneurs who have a passion for hosting workshops. Whether your expertise lies in fashion, food, fitness, faith, or fun, there is a place for you within our vibrant community. Our goal is to offer diverse and enriching experiences for our members, and your unique skills and knowledge could be an invaluable addition to our offerings.
Additionally, I am actively seeking opportunities to expand The Social Club Live to new cities.
