Meet Isomania

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Isomania a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Isomania, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?

being the only ones in the room can be weird, but we kinda like it. we’re not here to copy anyone—we’re just making the stuff we wish already existed. it’s simple, but it’s got weight. we’re not chasing trends, just trying to start our own movement.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

we’re isomania. we started in 2024 as a few friends messing around in a room. once we plugged in, we realized it was just as fun (and way more exciting) to write our own songs instead of playing covers—so we leaned into that.pretty quickly we had a setlist of originals and decided to test it live. the response blew us away. people weren’t just clapping, they were connecting—and that feeling has been driving us ever since.at our shows, it’s not about perfection, it’s about energy. whether it’s your first or tenth time seeing us, you’re part of the family the second you walk in. expect loud guitars, chaos, and hopefully a night you’ll remember (or at least feel it the next day).we’re not here to chase trends—we’re here to make noise, have fun, and build something real with anyone who wants to be part of it.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

for us, three things have really mattered:

being original. from the start we never compared ourselves to what was already out there. we just wrote what felt right, even if it didn’t fit the mold. advice: don’t chase trends—just protect your own voice.

our energy together. isomania isn’t about one person, it’s about all of us bouncing off each other. advice: play with people who challenge you, not just people who nod along. sparks come from friction.

showing up. practicing, writing, playing, even when we didn’t feel like it. that’s what built momentum. advice: treat your craft like brushing your teeth—something you just do every day.

in the end, it’s about the long game. don’t just aim for a quick moment, aim to build something that lasts.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?

if we only had ten years left, we’d spend them doing exactly this, just a little louder, a little faster, and with zero hesitation. we’d drop album after album, each one its own chapter.

we’d tour like time was sprinting behind us, but make every night feel endless. the isomania family would keep growing until the line between band and crowd completely disappeared.

ten years isn’t a countdown, it’s a challenge. and we plan on answering with music that sticks around long after we’re gone.
