Hi Iva, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I believe that each of us can find our purpose through life experience and the roles we have in life, the role of parents, partners, friends, etc. As we learn from life’s lessons, we grow and upgrade ourselves, becoming more and more aware of our purpose. I can’t say that I am fully aware of my purpose, but through life lessons, spirituality and work on myself, I come to the answer to the question that most people ask themselves in life: What is my purpose?

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I grew up in a small town with quite limited life beliefs and around the age of 13-14 I started questioning everything I was taught because I believed there was something more than that. Because of the fear of rejection and what others will say, I somehow put all that aside and continued to work, think and live the way others expected me to.So I lived and worked like that until my early 30s, and then I realized that such a way of life did not fulfill me and that I was neither happy nor satisfied, and I finally devoted more time to myself, to personal growth and spirituality, and now I am a personal development trainer and reiki practitioner. My motivation and goal now is helping people in different areas to improve the quality of their lives and my further personal development.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The qualities that initially pushed me forward and kept me consistent in my decision despite everything others said and did to divert me were persistence, determination and curiosity. So my suggestion to all those who are at the beginning of their journey is to be persistent, patient and to believe in themselves even in those difficult moments when we want to give up.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed, I take a break from my duties, if I can I meditate, listen to music or talk to someone I trust. My advice for all those who feel overwhelmed is to take a break, even if it’s only for a few minutes, prioritize your tasks and, if possible, postpone some of them. Talk to friends, family members or someone you trust, take time for yourself. Acknowlwdge that it is okay to feel overwhelmed and give yourself permission to take one step at a time.
