Meet Izzy Fischer

We recently connected with Izzy Fischer and have shared our conversation below.

Izzy, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

For me, confidence wasn’t something that showed up overnight — it was something I had to build, piece by piece, often in rooms where I was the youngest, the only woman, or both. Early in my career, I co-founded my first business with a partner who was 10 years older than me and male, and our c-suite was entirely male. Before that, in my first job, I was surrounded by male leadership and mostly male co-workers. In those environments, my age and gender were always top of mind — not always explicitly, but you could feel it.

There were moments where I had to fake it before I felt it. I had to speak up before I was sure I’d be heard, and take risks before I felt fully ready. I learned to lean into the areas where I did have an edge — whether that was instinct, creativity, or just a different perspective. And just as importantly, I did the internal work: getting really clear on my worth, investing in my own growth, and surrounding myself with people who saw my potential, even when I didn’t.

Over time, confidence became less about feeling certain all the time, and more about trusting that I could figure things out, even if I didn’t have all the answers. And I’ve found that when you show up with that kind of grounded self-belief, people start to meet you there.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m the founder of DailyBasis, a women’s health brand built to support the full cycle — not just one phase of it. After years of seeing how overlooked women’s everyday health needs are, I became obsessed with the idea of building something that could shift the standard. Our first product is a daily powder formulated with leading health experts — MDs, OB/GYNs, Functional Medicine Practitioners, Registered Dietitians, and more — to support mood, energy, skin, and hormone balance, all in one blend.

What makes DailyBasis special is that we don’t approach women’s health reactively — we take a proactive, daily, full-cycle approach. Everything we do is rooted in education, empowerment, and truly high standards when it comes to ingredients and impact. We want women to feel seen and supported not just when symptoms show up, but every single day.

Right now, we’re focused on building awareness, deepening education, and expanding access. We just launched and are in the early days of getting DailyBasis into the hands of women who need it — and the response so far has been incredibly validating. We’re also exploring community-focused partnerships and pop-ups across wellness and fitness spaces to bring the brand to life IRL.

More than anything, I want people to know that DailyBasis was built with intention — not just as a product, but as a movement toward better baseline health for women. And we’re just getting started.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1. Understanding my own working style—and learning to communicate it clearly.
Early on, I assumed people worked the same way I did or that my preferences were obvious. Over time, I realized that clarity around how I process information, make decisions, and like to collaborate has been essential—not just for my own productivity, but for building mutual trust and avoiding friction. I’d encourage anyone early in their journey to spend time reflecting on how they work best, and then share that proactively with collaborators. It’s not about being rigid; it’s about giving others a roadmap for working with you.

2. Learning that process isn’t bureaucracy—it’s a tool for resolving conflict and moving forward.
When you’re moving fast, it’s tempting to resist structure. But I’ve come to see that the right amount of process—whether it’s decision frameworks, meeting cadences, or ways to document alignment—can actually create freedom. It helps surface issues earlier, reduce misalignment, and take the emotion out of tough moments. If you approach process as something living and adaptable, it can be one of your most valuable tools.

3. Prioritizing agreements over contracts.
I’ve learned that what matters most isn’t what’s written in legalese, but what’s understood and agreed upon between people. That includes expectations, responsibilities, and how you’ll handle hard conversations. The strongest collaborations I’ve had were built on mutual respect and aligned values, not just paperwork. Take time to get on the same page with your partners—really talk through what success looks like, how you’ll handle changes, and what each of you needs to feel good in the relationship.

For those early in their journey: keep asking yourself not just what you’re doing, but how and with whom. That’s where a lot of the real growth happens.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

At DailyBasis, we’re always looking to collaborate with partners who share our commitment to advancing women’s health in a real, honest, and impact-driven way. Right now, we’re especially interested in working with:

Wellness studios and fitness communities that prioritize holistic health—think boutique fitness spaces, integrative wellness centers, and mind-body movement brands.

Content creators and educators who are speaking directly to women about cycle health, hormones, and daily wellbeing in a science-backed, empowering way.

Retail and marketplace platforms that elevate high-quality, thoughtful products focused on women’s health and daily rituals.

Health professionals and practitioners—from OB/GYNs to integrative nutritionists—who want to introduce effective, trusted solutions to their patients and clients.

Mission-aligned brands in beauty, supplements, or lifestyle that care deeply about ingredient integrity, transparency, and serving women across life stages.

Our ideal collaborators are curious, community-minded, and not afraid to challenge the status quo around women’s health. If that sounds like you, we’d love to connect.
